Hearing strong mail we have made an offer to Jordan Kahu that is about 250k higher than any other offer he has received and he is short odds to sign.

I would be really happy with that. Kicks goals and safe. Comes from a winning culture.

Been here before though (for a very short time). Would he come back?

250k higher? What are we looking to pay him? He is only worth 250k!

NRL.com is making noises that Kahu is likey to stay.

Not sure of pay amount but he can cover a fair bit of the backline and is a goal kicker. No Tedesco but worth more than the average.

My concern is his previous ACL issues.

Yeah true, always seems to have some sort of niggling injury

Gamble is a long shot to play NRL footy in 2018\. If we don't sign someone better Josh Reynolds might kick goals.

With our lack of signings we might have to take that Gamble.

He's a good field-goal kicker, so there should be less Ties On full-time.

I always thought that about Simona, and boy that turned out well, but Kahu could be an astute pick up, covering 1-5 and even 6, can goal kick really well, but do we need to beat other offers by that much.

There is plenty of upside, I guess its all depends on the price. I agree though, 250k better than any other offer seems a little crazy if that figure is correct

Good, he's a plodder with no speed. Doesn't kick the ball far either.

Team … we still need to go after a goal kicker ?? any suggestions ?? I'm not keen of Holland from the Dogs.

Why not according to Analytics Kerrod Holland is a more valuable player than James Graham..

Tigers have officially sent an offer to guerra. 3 year deal worth approx 1.3 mil. (430k a season)

Smoking Gun, we've signed McQueen and have made a play for Guerra. Does the Club have long term plans for Aloiai?I rate this kid real highly,do they see him in the 17 next season?
Thanks mate

I know I should be feeling positive and excited for 2018 with all the news of signings, but can't help but feel somewhat disappointed regarding the signings we've made compared to what we lost and the players which were on the market that we missed out on. Now, Reynolds is not a bad player and I am quite happy but when you put it in terms that other players like Maloney, Cronk, Townsend, Bird, Widdop and Johnson were all on the market but re-signed it makes you think what could have been. Matulino was possibly the best prop on the market, so I am happy with that. We will have to wait and see how McQueen goes before I make a judgement, but if we don't sign someone like CHN or Josh Jackson to accompany him but sign Guerra I will not be happy, as they are too similar of players and we don't need players past their prime. Now I am hearing we are trying to sign players like Kahu and Lolohea, whilst not the worst, they are still not the best and the thought of the team we will most likely have in 2018 is not exciting. Dylan Edwards is an exciting prospect and would much rather have him, or Moylan, Mitchell or Watson. I just don't want us to rush into signings for the sake of it

Corey Harawira-Naera needs to be a priority for the club. Would be an amazing addition.

Was just reading he is a huge ET fan. Need to get ET to have a chat to him.

Manly chase rookie

Manly are circling Penrith rookie Corey Harawira-Naera for next season. The Panthers have a plethora of forwards tied up on lengthy deals and are unlikely to be able to keep the Kiwi at the club. Manly coach Trent Barrett, who spent time with Harawira-Naera at the foot of the mountains, is trying to lure the backrower to the Sea Eagles. The Tigers are also interested. Elijah Taylor has a very close relationship with Harawira-Naera, who described the Tigers lock as one of his idols.
