Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Sounds like a certain club in the market for a five eighth cum fullback has been whispering in his ear.

I would hope so, he would be a great fullback, and the warriors can keep Lolo, plus Walker from memory can kick goals and cover for the halves.

I would love this guy to come across but this situation sounds a bit like Moses, demands something, doesn't get it and wants to leave immediately. If he has a contract that says he will play for x amount how does he think he has any right to demand an upgrade

The new gen NRL player….maybe we all better get used to it

I wouldnt be surprised if the kid was just fishing for a bit more coin…bunnies wont let him go

.@SSFCRABBITOHS Cody Walker has asked for a release from the club after ignored requests for a contract upgrade.

Cody just resigned a new 2 year deal but wants that contact UPGRADED has given the club 48 hours to some to the party but souths saying they wont give him a release

Sounds like he isn't happy with the $700,000 plus Gagai is going to be on next year

He signed a two year deal worth $400k total. Surely if he wants more we could offer an extra 100\. Not the age of Tui or necessarily the freakish skill but seems to have him beat in terms of application and heart. Walker is a better option than Tui.

No.
He would be good but he has just signed a contract. Are we really discussing this after the fiasco moses has caused? Hes getting 400k which he just signed. Hes got to suck it up and deal with it.Things are getting out of hand honestly.

Waited until 26 to make his first grade debut and has had half a good season. Think he is on more than 200k per year given the Broncos were also chasing him when he re-signed with Souths. We have just got rid of a demanding piece like him, Souths will stand up to his ridiculous demands.
He might find himself playing for Casino again shortly with that attitude

Forget Dugan. If Teddy goes move Nofa to fullback sign some wingers and use the cash to buy a big second rower.

Yes move him to Fullback he can chime in do as he pleases in attack and doesn't need to make another defensive decision. We have officially signed Mautalino McQueen and Russell Packer forwards are covered definitely need wingers and centres. Cleary changed Naiqama from the worst centre in the competition to the worst winger.

× 2

the nrl needs to grow some balls and stop this fiasco. Once you signed that contract your obligated. Tui lolohea can stay in nz too. If he cant make the warriors 17 then hes got to suck it up and work harder to get there.

We may very well need a fullback if the Warriors continue to hold onto Lolohea. On current form Walker would be a good option.

I always thought he was a born and bred bunny. It's a really sad state of affairs when I guy who was given a chance at 25 starts to demand money from a club. Whether the club gives him a release or not is irrelevant, if you sign a contract be man enough to be thankful for what you have rather then crying for more.

Yes
Lots of double standards happening.

**JOSH Dugan’s NRL future just became a lot clearer.**

The St George Illawarra Dragons fullback looks destined to continue his career at another club, after the Red V admitted they are unable to meet his contract demands.

Dugan and the club have been involved in protracted contract negotiations and it seems they are well apart when it comes to a new deal.

Dragons’ Director of Rugby League Pathways Ian Millward admitted exactly that on the club’s website, hinting that Dugan would not have a future at the club, unless he changes his current demands.

“We’ve been in negotiations with Josh since November last season,” Millward explained in a video on the club’s website.

“It’s been an ongoing process, but we’ve been advised by his management that they have a rival club that has made a significant offer.

“They’re very high expectations for us to meet, both the length of the contract and the salary.

“We’re not in a position at the moment to meet those high expectations.”

That rival offer is believed to be from St George’s local rivals, Cronulla, and the deal is said to be over four years, at close to $1 million per season.

Fox Sports NRL reporter says he feels Dugan is just about out the door at the Dragons.

“The Dragons have essentially been blown out of the water,” Hooper told NRL Tonight.

“They are not going to compete with the offer from the Cronulla Sharks.

“Wait and see where Josh decides to go, but at the moment if it is about money, I think we’ll see him join the Sharks.”

I'm so confused. Why would Cronulla go for Dugan if they have Holmes?

I wonder if Dugan does go to Cronulla, if we could get Holmes to break his contract and join us? Surely he would rather play fullback than centre/wing…?

Hell yeah Cody Walker please.

That would make all this recent grief worth it.

A humble legend who can get the job done when a game needs winning.

They do not see their offer as full back or centre money but rather marquee player money so essentially taking birds spot and bird money
