Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The quicker the big names re-sign with their clubs the better. Clubs will start to feel the strain of the salary cap once it is finalised and will start shopping some quality players around. Egan and Cleary are very aware of this and are waiting.

Hope you are right, the dogs will have to shed players, and Elliott is still unsigned

Dogs must be sweating on the NRL increasing the cap to as close as possible to the $10 million mark, otherwise the Tigers and Knights will be in a great position to pounce on several players!!

Exactly
Regards Bulldogs, Hopoate resigning must be putting pressure on Graham staying. Will also mean the Bulldogs having to top up even more player salaries at other clubs.

Graham or Tolman and Elliot would be nice, and should sew up the forwards recruitment.

Disappointing tbh… We've missed out on a lot of talent

We've signed
Reynolds
Matulino
Packer
McQueen
Tui Lolo
MWZ
Twal
Gamble

Rumoured to have agreement with Fonua

Re-signed
Brooks
MCK
Aloiai
Nofo
Suli

Rumoured re-signed
MMc
Liddle

Seriously how much "talent" do you expect a club to pick up in one season? I'd call that 5 legitimate first graders, 4 of which would start in most teams, and 2 borderline FGers.

I can hardly recall such a rich run of signatures in our clubs history, probably not since the lead up to the 2004 season when we picked up Prince, Hodgo, Elford, Richards, Moodie, Sattler.

I also wouldn't say these 2017/18 signatures are expected due to the loss of players - losing players is easy, replacing them is not.

You might argue we are LUCKY to have secured some of the talent we have for next year. Newcastle have cap space and who have they signed?
