Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Drew Hutchinson has been told to look elsewhere. Would be nice for depth.

If Broncos play Jack Bird at lock I see a change in the way the game is played and other teams will follow.

I really see Hutchinson as that kind of ball playing lock.

I see ET as that player

He is over rated by our own fans tbh

Does anyone know if we have signed Morgan Boyle and William Bugden. I know we where rumoured to be looking at / talking to them. Cheers

I haven't heard or seen anything for weeks on either front.

Our other forwards aren't helping him. Last year he was in awesome form. Next year, with a better pack I think we should see much improved performances from ET.

When I was making the rounds a month ago with some contacts with off contract players I got told then he had or was about to take up his option for 2018.

Strange that it hasnt been mentioned. Clubs are all for good news stories ie retainment. He would of been good. I believe twal will step up and go great next year so we only need another big forward. Might have to wait until next year. Get grant for one more year then go to the market again.

Passi taking up his option was not widely publicised as I have heard nothing on that front. I was hoping that the Tigers might have been able to secure his services. Oh well maybe he can get on the bus for the 2019 season.

I haven't heard anything publically from the club with it but that was from an internal source at the Titans. Maybe he didn't end up doing it or maybe they didn't bother with it as it's not really a new deal it's more so him just saying yep I'll play on one more year here ??‍♂️

Re: Curtis Rona and the Western Force

ARU has an extraordinary meeting on June 20\. There was a moratorium/contract freeze in place but that was lifted on 29 May and the players are negotiating with other clubs. Six players have apparently already agreed to terms but they will not be in force until after June 20\. It is clear that the players already know that Western Force will fold.

I wonder if Ivan has been negotiating with Curtis Rona? Agreed to terms? If he comes on board it will make my year regardless of where the Tigers finish this year.

from one of my more reliable sources but I got told this arvo that Infact Curtis Rona is a done deal to tigers. I'll try and get secondary confirmation (ie a tigers official) but he was adamant that it's done. Massive if true. Not just for tigers but would indicate western force are the team to be booted out of super rugby too

Good news for the WTs but shocking news for WA and rugby. Thanks for your advice.

Be massive allright. Wed be a top 8 side if that was the case. Great work SG.

If true there's a going to be a bit of healthy competition for starting positions in the backs. Something we haven't really had in a while.

A question was asked about whether the WTs had signed or negotiating with Morgan Boyle. Just reading the Titan's forum and he is rated very highly and at six ft four and 111kgs brings with him some serious presence and great pedigree.
