Rothfield has a little snippet today about a coach trying to get a star to back flip on a recently signed contract, don't think Cleary would do that, but you never know I suppose. Also thought of Reynolds and Hasler, but sure we will know soon enough, wish it was Teddy though.

"WHICH NRL coach needs to stop asking one of his Origin stars to backflip on a recently signed deal with a rival club? Enticing someone to break a contract is not on."

Presuming it's a player in the current squads, it would only be our blokes, Bird or Duges, wouldn't it?

My money's on Bird…......

That is all that he is worth. A dud player. We are better off without him in the team.

I wonder if Rankin being released gives us enough wiggle room to upgrade Eisenhuth to a top tier contract for the rest of the season?

would be a handy position to be in with Aloai out, and the likelyhood that he could compliment our rotation next year if he can keep that kind of performance up.

There was a rumour going around that a big name player wanted out of a recently signed contract with another club. So if you go on the Sharks website they say its Bird, if you go on the Dogs website they say its Reynolds and so on.

Doubt it would be Woods he is not smart enough to have any emotions or regrets

Probably farah and reynolds. Farah is known for overcalling part of the reason why he wasn't picked for origin

Newcastle are privatively confident of picking up Roosters utility Connor Watson for next season.

Watson has one year remaining on his deal at Bondi, but he is in talks with the Knights and the Wests Tigers.

The rebuilding Wests Tigers are also in the market under new coach Ivan Cleary. Sharks forward Jeremy Latimore is on their radar, while they have released utility Jordan Rankin to Huddersfield.

Don't know how accurate my estimations are but, I have us at least 2mil, give or take, under a 9.5mil cap. That's just me guessing though, I could be way off.

You aren't. Tigers have spent around the 6.3mil mark so far (that will jump to about 6.65 if ET takes up his option) then you have the banked offers to Rona,Glenn,Lawrence, Latimore so things could be quiet for while, problem is now that their really aren't any big marquee players off contract that warrant big dollars. Expect some roster boosting signings though.

Always had a feeling cleary would get latimore He actually played well under cleary at panthers. Thought glenn had already signed with broncs.
