Ok think I worked it out. Obviously need to protect my
Source but make of it what you will.

Personally would love nothing more than for this to blow up in the roosters face.

Sneaky one that Politis.
20k pay off fee is then used as a 230k fee for the player or are the figures quoted in the text incorrect?
If it's in negotiations what's to say someone wasn't doing it with him?
This is like a reverse paper bag, in reality it doesn't make sense unless his contract is registered for only 250???

Daniel Tupou is expected to be the latest signing with the Wests Tigers for the 2018 season.

It is understood that high flying Rooster’s winger Daniel Tupou is in deep discussions with the Wests Tigers for a possible contract for the 2018 season and beyond.
The Sydney Roosters imminent signing of NRL veteran Michael Gordon, as a goal kicking wingers is expected to force Tupou from Trent Robinson’s starting 17.

But the Wests Tigers recent signings of Mahe Fonua, Malakai Watene-Zelezniak, Corey Thompson, Taane Milne and Tui Lolohea, will mean he will also face stiff competition under Ivan Cleary’s reign.

But the NSW winger is not fazed about winning the job with the Tigers and believes the club is heading in a exciting direction and he wants to be apart of it.

Tupou has made 109 appearances for the Sydney Roosters, since making his debut for the club in Round 24 of the 2012 season, against the Canberra Raiders in the Roosters 24-20 loss at Canberra Stadium.

Tupou is expected to make a decision on his playing future within the coming weeks.

We should be in a position to offer Curtis Scott a healthy contract. Off contract and seems like a player who can penetrate a defence.

He's not off contract .
Signed for 3 years at the end of 2015 .

On the last couple of weeks performance, I would be looking for a half that clubs are trying to shed due to the cap, or possibly a young player (Mitch Cornish, Lachlan Croker, Kyle Laybutt, Drew hutchinson).

Someone needs to put pressure on, and potentially replace Brooks.

Are you stating that "Mitch Cornish, Lachlan Croker, Kyle Laybutt and Drew Hutchinson are better halves than Brooks or that they have the "Potential" to be better than Brooks.

Because we don't need anymore halves with potential.

If they maybe better are we going to play a 550k player in reggies or are you going to try and flog him off.

Saying that they are reggies players that would not cost 550k per year, with the possibility to step up should injury or consistent poor form.

Another post has listed players signed for next year, and we are very thin for depth in the halves and fullback if anything was to happen to our top picks.

The Roosters _are_ the media, James Packer being a big fan, so it probably won't end up in the headlines anyway, sadly.

As good as our backline may look it means nothing without some muscle in the 2nd row and another prop or 2.We need a much stronger pack

No racist but has there ever been a team win the comp with a full poly backline?

i think if we are after tupou, rona is not coming so that will make it easier. its good to see others dont think loloheah will make it as a 1st grade fullback, i think he is very average.

I'm not sure one has ever existed outside NZ. Obviously we'll have Brooks & Reyndolds, but I'm not sure there have been a "back 5" just Polynesian outside NZ.
