Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Would have some height in the team Tupou 6'5, Rona 6'4, Matulino 6'4, Eisenhuth 6'4, ET 6'3, Twal 6'3, Packer 6'2, Suli 6'2, McQueen 6'2, Aloiai 6'1, Reynolds 6'1,Milne 6'0,

Height on the wings immediately provides your kickers with a decent target. Imagine kicking for Kev on the left wing up against the Storm Fijian winger 😱pen_mouth:

People saying we don't need both Rona and tupou are fools. While tigers depth in the backs will be better you are basically comparing the new signings to the current squad. Thompson Milne and fonua hardly walk up starts to the team. Back line needs both tupou and Rona.

Lolohea
Tupou
Rona
Suli
nofo

Depth with fonua Thompson and Milne is needed.

Will be the backs if both Rona and tupou commit.

I've met josh Reynolds and Elijah Taylor and neither are that tall

I think a few of those heights are way off

Exactly this. Hopefully we can get them both.

Question; Does anyone know why Daniel Viedo is playing reserves with Burliegh Bears. If he's on the outer would he be worth a look for us.

who is Daniel Viedo and who does he play for?

Competition for spots is something we sorely need and don't have at the moment so if we can get Tupou and potentially Rona, it's fantastic for the club. Both players are FG quality. I'd look at Rona as more of a centre and consider Suli for the backrow given his speed is not exceptional.

My thoughts exactly. I don't see Suli as a long term centre given his lack of pace and acceleration. I think he could be better used in the back row at some point once we have more backline depth.

I'm 6'1 ET is slightly taller than me but Reynolds is smaller
The internet is pretty inaccurate.

Fonua and Thompson are both going really well in the ESL. If we end up with Thompson as our 8th best back it would show how far our depth has come in just 12 months.

Fonua is way ahead of Milne at this point but a lot can happen between now and the start of 2018.

Don't agree. Fonua video highlights in the ESL may look good but we how that goes.

I watch every ESL and NRL game in full every week so I'm not basing fit off highlights. Milne has plenty of potential but Fonua is a better player at this stage imo.

Either way it's nice to have Milne, Fonua and Thompson fighting it out for a spot when Chee Kam is a starting centre for us in 2017.

Just watching Curtis tear it up at Shark Park. If rumours are to be believed, his younger brother will be doing the same next year.

Maloney being given a going over by the Sea Eagles. Brooks' defence compared to Maloney is rolls Royce like.

Siro has been awesome today. He's been good all year actually.
