Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The more likely story is that Rothfield saw Ivan in a cafe with someone who he thought he recognised and pulled Rochow's name out of a hat.

Storm Swoop On Robbie Rochow Deal

2MMM
01072017

Speaking on Triple M Saturday NRL, Brent Read said Melbourne are again adding depth to their pack. "As of yesterday, they were in talks to try to get Robbie Rochow out of South Sydney," Ready said. "They were doing a swap deal. Dean Britt - Darren Britt's son who plays for Melbourne. "As I understand it, the deal went through. "So Melbourne, who are having an outstanding year, have now picked up Robbie Rochow by the sounds of it. "It just gives them more power in that forward pack. They are going to be hard to stop."

Rochow only signed with Souths mid last year and has made just eight appearances for the club. He will head straight to the Storm for the remainder of 2017.

Market Watch can reveal both Taylor and the club agreed on letting the option expire to instead negotiate a new long term deal.

The 27-year-old has found a home at the Tigers since joining in mid-2016 from Penrith.

It’s understood a new deal will be finalised by the end of the month.

Need some context here. So ET and the club are negotiating a new deal?

Good stuff. Very happy to hear it. Surely he'd be in the running to be captain next year?

Rochow for Grant seems a fair swap to me. Grant should improve at Melbourne, and we trade sideways but shave a few years off in the process. Not sure why the Storm would do it, but I'd be happy if it came through.

There's no way the storm would go for this. No upside for them and they just signed the guy
