News is that the Sharks just signed Gray and that Leutele will be staying on and not being released to the Gold Coast. On top of signing Dugan and re-signing a number of other players the Sharks must also have a salary sombrero like to Roosters!!

And they are after Cronk!!!

Maybe they are paying their players peptides in brown paper bags…or that white powdery stuff their ex chairman loves.

Cronulla can get away with unders. A few of the players also receive a part pension on top of their contracts.
Also their partners may be receiving a full pension like D Fifita's misses

Tigers could be quiet now as they may have already got a few on the bus but they won't be mentioned until season end , they could have the best kept secret going at present , Ivan did say in an interview he is talking to player managers and players almost Daily , probably still is

Cronk just on TV saying he might play again, "to hard to give up the excitement", where will he fit in, we could afford him, souths might be able to, Cronulla is the talk, but Maloney would have to be let go, but he is only on $500k next year, not Cronk money.

I would love Cronk but we have an abundance of halves for 2018; Tui (although he is better suited to FB), Connor Watson (if the rumours are true), Brooks, Reynolds, Gamble

I would love Cronk but our money could be better spent in the forwards - and he is also out for Origin

He's retiring, he just doesn't want the fanfare and circus surrounding it. Look at the way his teammates swamped him when he crossed the line the other night. That said it all.

So we have Reynolds as the sole player that is a proven quality half.
We're mad if we're not interested in Maloney or Cronk.

Some people don't like the Reynolds signing because he makes stupid decisions.

Maloney is the most penalised player in the comp and misses the most tackles.

I still wouldn't be against the signing of Cronk or Maloney

But why spend big $$$ on a half when we still need forwards - Paul Gallen is still off contract

It's funny how people forget some stupid mistakes when the team is winning.

Sam Thaiday told he won't be needed next year

Not quite contracted for next year just wont be offered a contract beyond that…Unca Wayne style...

Never the less Geo. Next year or the Year after what I does mean that he is on the open market from Nov this year and if his keen on continuing on for more than a year would be looking at other opportunities knowing that his career with the Broncos will be ending shorter than expected.
We'd be silly not to offer a contract. 500k plus he is an excellent proposition.

We dont want to become a retirement village or super top up for players at the end of there careers we need to look at players with at least 3 to 5 years career life span.
