I would believe that. Probably not a bad signing given his likely tenure is in ISP. Older head and a bloke that stays out of trouble, would assist with a culture shift and wouldn't hurt the bank in my opinion.

After reading SG say we're into Nathan, and the rumours clubs such as Penrith will struggle with the salary cap if it hits 9.2 mil as expected and also the report Penrith have offered Nathan Cleary a 5 year deal worth 3 mil which is 600k a year.
Surely we should have a crack at Nathan, if Ivan is willing to throw 400-500 k at a player like Watson or 700k for a player like Reynolyds I really hope we throw the kitchen sink at Nathan he's the next JT imo and he'll be NSW no.7 either next year or max the year after.
The Brooks experiment just doesn't seem to be working and the idea of a Nathan Cleary and Josh Reynolyds pairing sounds mouth watering.
Penrith only throwing 600k on a 5 year deal, I'm confident Nathan is smart enough to know that's a hopeless offer.
I know it's unlikely but, his manager/dad is the head coach and he even had a clause that if Ivan got sacked he could leave which was removed later on but still shows that he must enjoy playing under his dad.

More chance of getting Cameron Smith, Boyd Cordner, Billy Slater and James Maloney as package deals than Nathan Cleary is what I think…

I think the tigers would be the last place he would go. It would only take a few ordinary games for people to say he's in the side because he's the coaches son.
