Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Cotric, Tapine and Rapana would be the only ones that I'd consider, and in that orderThe Raiders won't let any of these 3 go.

Been playing with tapine since i was about 7… major talent but hes a hot head. He loves fighting, if youre up by 1 under the posts with 1 minute to go and someone raks him up he will not hesitate to throw a pumch and throw the game away, he cant resist it.

Doesnt matter how good a coach/mentor he has, that will never change, beem like that since we were kids, comes from a pretty rough place.

Rapana or cotric sign and instantly become our best player

Agree. We need strike. Ratana or Cotric for mine as well.

Have you guys been sniffing something recently? BJ Leilua?!

He's a really inconsistent player who's either really good or really bad and good for a couple of brain snaps a game. To me he seems like a really immature player. At his age you'd want someone who's composed and consistent but, I can't see him being that type of player anytime soon.

He's just too much of a risk for mine because, if he becomes unhappy he could impact team morale and our preparation for next season. I'd rather go with what we have than take that risk.

Yeah they would both be great but the Raiders aren't in the position of the Bulldogs, they have plenty of players they can put up for offer that other clubs will be interested in at full freight or close to. Leilua, Baptiste,Tapine, Soliola, Sezer, Austin, Wighton, Junior Paulo, Boyd…they'd let them all go before they'd let go of Rapana or Cotric.

Leilua makes sense because he'd be on good coin and they have a few options to shuffle around their back line. Cotric could go to 1 to get him more involved with Wighton to centre and Ottio to the wing. Or Cotric to centre with Abbey coming onto the wing.

Here's the thing - BJ is a Class-A peanut, I mean a real dingbat and a borderline liability at times. BUT he would easily be the best centre in our team if we signed him.

So coach's call - do you risk it on a peanut? Honestly he didn't just fail to see out contracts with his former clubs, he had issues with all of them getting along with his peers and coaches. The latest issue with Blake Austin at Raiders shows he's not exactly a team player, hence why for such a huge talent he's moved on quite frequently.

But still miles better than anyone we've got.

Considering Cleary's mantra of "Be the player your teammates want to play with", I'm thinking he may not want to take that risk with Leilua.

Agreed. You won’t see him in Tigers colours.
We’ll be more likely to get a bench player

Mitchell Pearce can not possibly be happy with whats happening at the Roosters regardless of whats been touted. Something has to give.

How good is Moses Suli? So happy to have a beast like this playing for us.

I reckon this kid could be one of the top centres in the game. Hopefully he stays healthy and happy playing for us.

It looks like Bailey Sironen has been resigned by the club… Minimal contract

NRL top 30 contract…?

I heard both he and Marshal-King were offered ISP contracts only....

Thought he held his own when called up. Guess it's not a top 30 contract?

His deal was described to me as 'f*** all'… Dunno if NRL or Reggie's.. Latter by the sounds of it
