A former Australian schoolboy, the 19-year-old graduate from renowned rugby nursery St Patrick’s College in Sydney bagged a vital second-half try in Lebanon’s thrilling 29-18 win over France in Canberra.

There's a stretch. Someone please tell me more than 1 decent rugby or league footballer to emerge from St Pats Strathfield.

John Ballesty - kindly refer to : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ballesty

Michael Foley - Australian rugby union player, Australian rugby union forwards coach 2003-2008, New South Wales Warartahs rugby union coach 2008\. Until 2016 coach of the Western Force

Tim Pickup - Australian Rugby Union and Rugby League Representative

Chris Siale - Rugby Union player for the Queensland Reds, New South Wales Waratahs and French rugby second division

And heaps of others as feeder for West Harbour Rugby Club

That's bottom of the barrel stuff. Never head of Ballesty but fair enough he did play for the Wallabies at some point a long time ago.

Foley is the real legit one I knew of, so let's call that 2 players.

Tim Pickup ended up at CBHS Lewo and graduated there, so both schools can claim him.

Don't get me wrong, a handful of footballers as many schools can claim - hardly a renowned rugby nursery. Joeys is a renowned rugby nursery, Iggies and lately Newington have been strong. St Pats compete in the ISA, not even the CAS or GPS.

I wrote a post a while back on the importance and influence that some of the games quality wingers had on winning games in the NRL..to add to that and simply because I think we need one more quality finisher in our 30 man squad…...
I thought Valentine Holmes ran the ball strongly for the Aussies every time he had it - certainly a worthwhile option for us if he's truly available. I thought Tupou (Roosters winger) looked in good form for Tonga as well - he would be an excellent pickup if we could pinch him off the Rorters and possibly worth a look at the English wingers.

I agree we need a good winger, but Tupou is happy playing for $200k a year at the chooks  , and Holmes sees himself as a fullback, but he does run with vigour.

Would have RTS or JTS if they were available….both are freaks
can someone update me with some real status on Angus Crichton??

Maybe Packer, Mats and ET have been getting in Roger's ear. I'd lose my damn mind if we actually signed him but, I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah we only have MWZ…we need more triple barrels JWH, DCE, SKD, SBW, RTS, JTS, NAS, SST, DWZ...missed out on em all and end up with SFA..

Forget Moylan and the rest, if Roger the Dodger wants to come over I'll be over the moon. It will round the team off beautifully.

Bloody oath! Hope this rumour ends up being true. The Rooster RTS was something else, but he has showed very little at the Warriors. More to do with the coach, team, injury and overal culture at the joint than a permanent loss of form or talent I hope.
