Oh yeah…Where the hell is the Gamechanger...

The game changer is Ivan Cleary. Trust the process.

On MMM this morning Matt Johns believes Uncle Nick will have Cleary and Son at the Rorters in 2020…

His reasoning is if you have been in the Rorters system as Ivan has you will be looked after in later life..

So Nathan signs a 1 year deal somewhere waiting for dad, just for once let the rorters miss out.

This is what I fear once Cronk retires :frowning:

If we keep improving like we have been, players will want to come here, coaches as well

I think that's a long shot. Ivan seems pretty happy at the club. We're winning, him and Pascoe are good friends, the club is letting him make decisions and giving him control of the team. Why would he want to leave?

Sorry Willow. I read this forum everyday and enjoy it and i post when i feel like i have something to say. I never swear or try to be obusive. One thing i have noticed is that you seem to be almost like a very disgruntled high school teacher. Telling everyone how to spell and which way to turn. Why do you do it?
Coz you spoil the fun that this forum is. ???

Mods do an awesome job here. Go to the Bulldogs forum to compare.

The Kennel is one of the most disgusting vile websites ever.
After having a look at the Kennel you appreciate our Mods.

They can take a joke at least. Tho, they're all pretty depressed at the moment.

Agreed, and its Ivan's team. I feel he wants that type of career.

In regards to Ivan its hard to say what will happen between now and 2020 but I would like to believe he would stay. He has said that the Tigers wont be playing their best football for a few years and I am sure he would like to reap the rewards of what he has built which Gus didn't allow him at the Panthers.

I think Ivan will win a premiership as a coach and I hope it is with us.

I would be fine with having a get out clause for Nathan if Ivan left and offer them both a 5 year contract.

Rorters do have deep pockets but I am sure our offer will be really good and Ivan did say he was a Tigers supporter growing up.

Would be nice for us to get a signing over the chooks.

If he’d been here for 5 years and gotten all he could out of the roster, then maybe. No way he’s leaving after two. He’ll only then be starting to scratch the surface of what this team is capable of. Plus, he’s contracted for 2020\. What incentive do we have to release him?

Have you been on there again stirring them?

And to add to that, he believes in honouring a contract.

Johns just states what COULD be the obvious…even a knuckle head like me could see that could be an option COULD!If the club and team keep progressing over the next 2 seasons why would he want to go elsewhere so soon .If there is success over that time I would imagine money would not be a problem either ,ATM I am more interested in this season.

At least one of their members calls a certain front rower Sharon and complains while he is good running the ball, he has no line speed.

If he turns this club around, just about every club including the heavy weights will be interested. Besides his results, the positive way he engages the press brings kudos to the club. Compare that to the confrontational post match press conferences with JT.

Ivan won't leave, we gave him the chance to come back into the game and I think he's grateful for the opportunity.

Gave him full reigns to the club, and he would want to bring a premiership to a club that many said were a basket case when he signed, his reputation will go through the rough if he could take us to the finals let alone the premiership

And he would want his son to be apart of it

There has been some chatter around that Israel Folau management has put out feelers to Tod Greenberg for possible return to the NRL.
Would be great pickup for us. Would cut deep into our salary cap if NRL didn’t offer some incentives.
However one downside ….. I believe he is managed by our friend Moses.

Lets flip this on its head for a minute.
At Wests Tigers, Ivan has what he has asked for; control of the team.
He came here from Panthers with Gould looking over his shoulder and having ultimate control. If he goes to the Capons, will he have control or will someone else (Nick) be looking over his shoulder with ultimate control?
Where is he better off in terms of realising his vision, building a team, structuring that team and laying out his game plan, here or at the Capons?
He comes across as a man of integrity. He has talked about a plan at WT spanning a few years.

Huge yes to Izzy, NRL would help us too.

Pretty sure theres a war chest the NRL has for situations like this…...

Izzy to the rorters the only club that can afford him.

With the war chest my personal opinion is that you have to qualify to use it you must be in the bottom 8 clubs for wins in the 4 previous season it can not be used if you are a successful club like the Roosters Broncos Melbourne the war chest should help the game overall and not just the elites get stronger image if Izzy went to Newcastle that would help the game
