Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Don't think Papalii is a good idea at all. One way to destroy team culture is to get a big signing that isn't performing to their pay packet.

If this season has taught us anything it's that you don't need a team of world beaters to achieve success.

Good point…I also heard Kent on 360 that Cleary wont pay overs for any player and is a good judge of what they are worth ..if they want more than he is prepared to offer he simply moves on...

Papalii would want a fair chunk of cash I'd imagine..

Would prefer to see us keep developing Josh Aloiai for that impact role more than likely at a fraction of the cost..

That's a great attitude to take into negotiations and with the club currently going well both on and off the field, it's a great help in those negotiations. Players will start to look at the Tigers and WANT to play here.

Hello Corey Oates

A big yes to that

Retain Marsters and Eisenhuth plus those young players on the cusp of the NRL in our ISP team.

No to Oates at the $ it would take to get him from the Broncos.

It is refreshing not to have big $ invested in three players who had no interest in the long term future of WTs. A more even distribution of $ = more harmony and team play in the dressing room.

Been meaning to compliment you Paws for sometime now.
Another thoughtful and intelligent posting.

oates may not cost as much as u people are thinking, he would be on very little at the broncos, and if he wants to play backrow he may come for $400,000 per season, because on nrl 360 they claimed the storm want him and they wont pay more than that. he would be a good fit at the tiger big tall and fast.

Not sure how old he is these days, but Uate is being shopped around due to Manly's salary cap problems.

He's 30…and we already have guys like Nofo and Fonua who aren't getting a run in first grade.

Edit: Roosters might look to get him so they don't have to run out Reece Robinson while Tupou is unavailable. Reece Robinson is just an awful player...

Reece was great in his Canberrian days. Would take him as a depth signing

Jamayne Isaako - Plays wing, Centre and is a very good kicker.
Matt Lodge - I know I will cop it for this but he and TPJ have been Brisbane's best.
Tevita Pangai junior - Has been dominating other packs this year.
Corey Oates - $$ will be the issue

Sorry Lodge is off limits. The guy is going well and I hope he can pay back his victims. But glad for him to be remembered as a Bronco not a tiger.

Pangai or Isakko are goers, Pangai def.

Brisbane have some players that are going well and off contract that I wouldn't mind. Things are also unstable at the club and I think they might struggle to keep all of these players.

BIG yes, BIG NO, NO, Yes but not for money he is asking.

Jamayne Isaako is a fullback that's his preferred position that's what he wants to play

And that’s where he should play.
But he is also a very good utility covering several positions.

Cotric is playing fullback for the raiders tonight, and doing a fine job

His talent and size is wasted on the wing. He would be a dangerous pick up at second row

Watch out
I mentioned that before And got cut down
As I said before
Corey would be a great asset to our team

I have to ask is Corey Oates just trying to get a larger contract by wanting to play back row?

I really havent seen anything to suggest he will be a better back row player than he is a winger.

Yep.

You don't think he's wasted on the wing? Looks likely to bust tackles with every hitup.

Oates has not got good hands , loses a bit of ball in contact , not worth the money he will want to leave

Isaako is who we want , get on it Kegs

I agree Happy, but what about Tui, the halves are congested as well

The Lurker

Apr. 4, 2018

There’s mail of more drama at the winless Eels.

Last week, it was star five-eighth Mitchell Moses that was believed to be angry with the state of affairs at the club.

Moses took exception to Jarryd Hayne’s alleged short cuts at training - and let the staff know as much at training last week.

Now, the story is Moses' halves partner.

MORE: Ask the NRL Lurker: Are heads set to roll at Parramatta Eels?

Word out of Parramatta is that Corey Norman won’t be around much longer if some sort of swap deal can be arranged with another club

The Eels have had enough of Norman and his loose off-field ways, while his form this year has been below mediocre.

If Brad Arthur can find a decent forward, he’d be willing to do a deal with anyone to have Norman off his books.

The fingers may be pointing at Arthur, but Norman will go before the coach. Mark my words

Hmmmm
Give them Grant for Norman
Can always keep him in Reggies till he pull his head in
Might be alright as backup when Marshall retires
Especially if we don't get Cleary

Now who is going to give it to me
