He didnt say that tonight on 360\. Said hasnt spoken to Barba and that they are a better team with Val Holmes no matter where he plays. Happy to switch Dugan and Holmes during games to test opposition - said nothing that would even hint that Val Holmes is going anywhere.

And how does val home fit with barba coming back

Val is contracted to the Sharks he can play him where he thinks best - thats his job. He said in time he will be a great FB but at the moment he is a better winger.
Look there was nothing in that interview that mildly suggests the coach doesnt have Val in his future plans - he said they are a better team when he is on the field.
So if what you say is true Flannagan is doing a great job of keeping it under wraps.

Yeah and flanigan comments were interesting first of all basically confirmed barba coming back to sharks and said its okay dugan can play centre. No mention of val holmes as a full back or at all.

He just said he is a good fullback and a better winger , said he was a true footballer

I don't know you talk up someone your possibly releasing , can come back to bite you , especially with the fans

I find it funny that people say well Flannagan didn't let on that he wanted rid of Holmes - we of course he didn't even it was being annouced tommorrow he wouldn't let on because thats what professionalism and negotiation require. If you negotiating a release where price counts you don't go on TV and say he is a rubbish fullback because all of a sudden the other club goes well if he is that rubbish we will pay less

But in the same sentence you don't to wrap Valentine Holmes and then find out Round 2 Ben Barba had his 3rd failed drug test and Valentine Holmes wins the Wally Lewis medal in a winning SOO team , Dally M Fullback of the Year and wins the Clive Churchill medal in the Premiership winning side in 2019
