I’m just gonna say I know it’s an unlikely situation…..

But if Hayne is being shopped around for 500k you’d be silly if you were Ivan to at least not look into him a bit..... maybe just a meeting and see how he is and if he lacks that motivation or drive leave it as it is

Ivan seems a good judge of character

Hayne at parramatta hasn’t been that bad he’s just been injured, his form was decent

He’s a SOO representative and he only just turned 30

I’m not saying we should sign him, but I’d be disappointed if he was shopped around for 500k and we didn’t at least look at it

As much as I don’t like Hayne you can’t deny his talent

Hayne is one of the LAZIEST players in the past decade and goes against everything Cleary is trying to build. Deadset some of the suggestions floating around here are ludicrous :brick:

As I said look into it

If he seems like he isn’t motivated then drop it right there and then

You never know his mindset as it stands right now

There's nothing to look into. He has been lazy his entire career and is only getting worse.

I was excited by Jaydn Su’A being Off-contract at the Broncos. Until I read Issac Moses is his manager.
The Bronco's are flash with good back rowers and will have trouble fitting them all in.

Isn’t Isaac Moses still Brooks manager?

Rumour over at the Kennel today that Coote will be going to the Dogs in 2019 pending the release of Mbye

So the people on the kennel are starting to come round to the idea that Mbye is leaving?
From what i'm seeing they are saying Mbye will be release this year. I may be wrong thou.

Dont think they will be that concerned. They have played him everywhere and he just hasnt deivered, despite his natural talent.

If they want Coote for next year and he is not getting much game time at the Cowboys it would make sense to do it asap.

Hayne only signed for 1 year at Parra so he doesn’t have to be shopped around . Any club can freely sign him now for next year . The fact that nobody is interested tells a story

Also the Tigers gave a cheeky like on a Bulldogs tweet today about Mbye doing extras today. :roll

They also did one in the first game against the Eels where they said we were a team with " points" to prove. :roll

But if Hayne

Just stop right there.

Agreed, stop there sign contract NOW. Get the Hayne on 500K and make him a back utility instead of a star player.
He won't sign for 500K unless the Eels punt him. Easts/Cronulla or someone else will get him. But if we have a shot it should be a no-brainer.
Why Hayne=Yes and French=no. Because Hayne actually has proven performance and has had Rugby pump his ego to hights. French brings his own ego with him and he has only had one fairly good rookie season. Hayne though will suffer because he has been seen as the miracle player. A lot like Nigel Vagana who went to Cronulla as a bit of a star and was pretty hopeless, later went to Souths as nothing and did pretty well. Drop the guy to reserves, get him fighting to play and get the fan turnout. Even as a threat factor (Hayne is on the left, we have to guard his position) he would be worth it.

Were never signing Hayne, so it is mute.

If we dropped Hayne to ISP he would suddenly walk out of the club.

Anyone who has watched Hayne since he left Parra would know even though he has raw talent(like so many other players)that his talent does not outweigh the effect his ego seems to have on team mates and the team in general.
500k is the sort of money you can get a real first grader for.
Hayne is not a week in week out first grader in my opinion.
Also seems a bit injury prone to be throwin half a mill at

I've heard people talk up Su'a before and to me he seems solid without being a game breaker - but i've only seen him once or twice.. Who would people compare him to?

Imo he's an Ava type player.

They're nothing alike.

Oh i'm sorry :brick:

Well call it like it is then. One is a fringe front rower who barely plays 40 minutes a game while the other is an up and coming 20 year old backrower who plays 80 minutes and is being earmarked as a future rep player. Souths are offering him plenty to replace Crichton.

Coote isn’t even on the bench this week for the Cowboys.

i hate to rain on the MYBE parade, but i spoke to a player and a official at the dogs today and there is no word that he is leaving this year or next, both of the two i trust that they have not heard anything. i know that it doesnt mean it wont happen but it is either hush hush or its dead in the water.

somewhere between SBW & Simon Dwyer,in terms of potential he is a freak with the things he can do at training. The most promising forward the donkeys have.
