Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Kelly and Farah make the most sense and honestly, a hooker and a centre is exactly what we need for the rest of the year.

We also need a 2nd rower, a middle forward or 2, a 5/8 that can play a couple of weeks running and a winger.

We also need a new Bus.

So who will we have by June 30? Farah? Taupau? Rona? Kelly?

Apparently Rona dismissed our offer before because he wanted to play for Australia in the world cup, but it looks like Australia haven't been using him lately so hopefully he comes before June 30.

There is no deadline on Rona. He could joint the club on July 1.

This Rona stuff is becoming quite boring actually .. there is no way he's gonna leave Rugby .. we'd have a better chance of going after Folau … (tic)

It’s been boring for 12 months

We need to go hard for Corey oats
He is a great finisher
Fast
Very hard to stop one on one
Can make something out of nothing
Does the hard yards
Plays 80 minutes
Always looks dangerous with the ball
Can our jump most players
Has about an 86% tackle efficiency rate (bit low)but I believe his attack far outways this area
Corey is a game breaker and scores some amazing tries
Would love him in our team

Been saying this all year, he is exactly the type of winger we need. Wants to play second row though. Perhaps if we offer him enough he will come here and be happy to play on the wing. Honestly, I would offer him a fullback's money just to get him here, he is that good.

and very suspect under the high ball
wants to play in the back row (with no experience)

Pascoe had previously confirmed we would be using Curtis in our top 30, but with all our injuries hopefully this forces a rethink. We have one fit centre in our entire top 30 now.

Salary cap is limited. We dont need a winger.

Oates is a great player but we have other priorities.

We need a centre, a top class one.

Definitely, with the idea to eventually move Marsters to 2nd row where he could solve another problem for us.

Does anyone think Oates will be as good in the second row as he is on the wing?

Had a conversation with Anthony Griffen when he first came to Penrith about Oates. His words were along the lines of lovely kid but just doesn't have the motor to play in the backrow. That was a couple of years ago now so who knows.

That's what I'm thinking.
Solid winger but doesn't look like he quite has the guts for second row but he's determined to play there…
With his work ethic, you'd assume he'd try his best.
