You're not the coach.
Meany didn't sign to move from knights ISC to doggies to continue playing ISC.

Yeah replace an international with isp player. Your not coach either.

Logic? Lol…
Use ya brain.

Who's gonna play centre next year With Morris bros leaving.
Not new fullback recruit... They've been begging for a genuine fullback since Barba left..

But yeah....
Hoppa is an international ?

Can you speak without being condescending???

Try this for logic.

Hoppa played centre most the season and they hardly won a game do you think it makes sense to try the same play next year to fit a player that has not played much nrl..

I don't know if you watch rugby league or follow the news but its common knowledge that it's very possibly the bulldogs will lose some of their big names and recruit modestly, fielding a very inexperienced team.

So yes…. The plan is for Meany to be starting fullback.

Lachlan Lewis has been training at centre all year despite making his debut at #6 in case he was needed to play centre next year.

Do ya research.
Hoppa ain't no world beater.
He'll be in the centres, guaranteed.

Good chat buddy.

sitaleki akauola (if he would come back) and josh drinkwater is a start.

Handy additions if we could get em…
I rated Sita at Penrith. Surprised he didn't get a deal in the NRL.

Would be great from the bench.
He said playing at the tigers gave him depression tho.

The trouble is the balance of the team. Watching it live on Sunday it's clear to me Taylor just gets in the way on the attacking set ups.

We have Mybe, Brooks, Reynolds and Farah who are all ball playing then along comes Elijah who wants to ball play as well.

The balance is a mess and his role needs to go to someone who can help out the props.

Some truth in that. They haven't really played much together and it looked like it… and what was Robbie doing playing a couple of passes wide of the ruck?

Yeah Robbie surprised me with that. If he wasnt hooker he was 5/8.

I dont mind it on a big late half push but not how they went about it.

No he said being forced to play 5/8 in State Cup without any explanation or instruction on what he needed to do to be a starting back rower made depressed.

Its a fine line but i look at the version where he was played out of position in what in any other workplace would be labeled as constructive dismissal.

Would love to have him back, he provides great impact.

We have 10 off contract.
6 of those have played first grade this year.

Only Farah and Marshall would be worth keeping unless we can get better options.

Farewell to MWZ, Grant, Sue and Godinet.

The other four who haven't played grade are development players as far as I know. One (Heath Gibbs) has already left. Leaving Mikaele, Smith and McIntyre… Hardly taking up much cap.

Reynolds & McQueen.... Need to consider their health. Too injury prone. Time to hang up the boots. Who really expects Grub to see out his contract?

And the dead wood remains....
Eisenhuth. Fonua. Gamble. Lolohea. Rochow.

And to a lesser extent...
Packer (Cat).
Matulino (Flop)
Liddle (?)
MCK (state cup God)
Elijah Taylor (dopey)

Need a lot of upgrades across the list...
Shameful.

Why is Fonua deadwood? Has struggled to catch a ball or two but fair to say he has been in everything and provides great impact getting out of our own end.

He's not a complete footballer imo.
We need an upgrade.

Fonua's not Top Class, sure, but I'd be getting rid of a fair few others first (like you mentioned originally).
MWZ has to go, thanks mate, but gone. Sue I think really needs to go to the Sharks. Godinet can go to. Grant can go but only if we can upgrade, he's pretty good for depth.

We'll need to try and get players on early release cos all off contract options atm are Sue like.
It's no good.

If you ranked every fullback in the game, Hoppa would be bottom 3\. Bog average.

He looked good for Tonga at fullback, and again on the weekend at fullback, he is not bog average, he is better than Tui and plenty on here thought he was the next big thing

Is it time to offer Koroibete decent money to come back
He would make a decent centre paring with Fonoa
Both hard Runners and Hitters
Then offer Blake Ferguson good money for a wing spot
And T P Junior
Team would look like

1 Mbye
2 Nofoluma
3 Koroibete
4 Fonoa
5 Ferguson
6 Reynolds
7 Brooke's
8 T P Junior
9 Farrah
10 Twal
11 Lawrence
12 Masters
13 Eisenhuth
14 Packer
15 Matalino
16 Aloiai
17 Taylor
18 Thompson
19 Liddle

Just a thought
With Masters playing his time in the Centres this year
When he moves into second row
This eliminates the need to carry a back on the bench
Four forwards on the bench for rotation
If and injury happens to a back Masters can slip into Centre
That's better then putting MCK in there
