Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

After watching tonights game and looking at our stats, we are in desperate need of a hard running forward with something to offer besides reversing backwards (eiso). We definitely should make a play for either marty or klemmer. Packer ran for only about 50m and had very little impact, and i have no idea why Alex twal only got like 10mins of gametime then got put on in the last 5 mins. I think cheekam has been pretty solid in his spot , and might not need us to spend good money on a second rower. Definitely centre and prop a concern for us.

Good to hear. She’s way overrated.

Sure she is.
Granted she isn't the typical plastic mullet but she would be a catch in any language. She would be more of a signing than Merrun and going by tonight's insipid, pissweak display she would have more grunt in her than Packer, Matulino and Eiso combined.

Sign her up then cause no one else will want to come near us after tonight's display.

I reckon we should make a play for Jack Hetherington and (dare I say his name) Matt Lodge. Good young, strong, hard running forwards who won't take a backward step. Hetherington is stuck behind a heap of forward talent at Penrith and will probably end up back in reggies again when Campbell-Gillard returns. I'm sure he'd jump at the chance of cementing a starting spot somewhere else.

Lodge will be hard to prise from the Broncos, as is every player, but he is not a Queenslander has no real allegiance to them. He could well be forced out too with the Broncos re-signing so many of their young gun forwards on big contracts lately. Both are worth a shot, imo.

X2 - and if i’m not mistaken lodge has some past connection to the tigers as he was good mates with brooksy and mitchmoses
