Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Been getting a lot of info on a few deals possibly happening!

Hearing very recently that the eels really want Keary and the Roosters might be prepared to let him go

SURPRISE RUMOUR: I was told that the roosters are looking at Lachlan Coote

Norman is very likely to leave parramatta and ink a deal with the Raiders

Matt lodge is commanding interest with Penrith looking to bring him to the club, while looking at offloading Merrin and Tamou

Tamou is on the Knights wish list and is a real possibility to make the switch

While Merrin could very well be a tiger, as they’re on the verge of announcing the signings of Leilani Latu and possibly Brain Kelly
Via nrl forgotten man Facebook

Why the heck would the Roosters let Keary go? Don't tell me they're actually feeling cap pressure :astonished:

And how many big forwards do Penrith need? We're the ones who should be looking at Lodge, young and up and coming, rather than Merrin or Tamou, who are older and past their best. But I guess that's our MO.

PS not that I would mind Merrin if he came here, but his best days are really behind him and I would rather Lodge.

Brian Kelly looks the goods!

Oh and that Nathan Cleary kid isn’t bad too

Would make our day if Kelly left for the WTs. Tapau was a significant loss because we couldn't compete with the Manly offer which we know now they couldn't afford under the cap. The loss of Kelly to us would be recompense.

Hmmmmm …. now let’s see what could possibly work for me.

Kelly, Don and/or Feki would improve our back line ..... Lots.
Perhaps Brooks for young Cleary swap may be on the cards.
Then there are the forwards.
Latu is rumoured to be signed..... and Merrin on the radar.
One more top quality second row forward and we have:-

1\. Mbye
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Marsters
4\. Kelly
5\. Don
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks or Cleary
8\. Packer
9\. Liddle
10\. Matulino
11\. Lawrence
12\. TBA
13\. Merrin

Interchange:
14\. Thompson
15\. Feki
16\. Robson
17\. Funa
18\. TBA
19\. Gamble
20\. Drinkwater
21\. Latu
22\. Farah
23\. Twal
24\. Taylor
25\. Aloiai
26\. Eisenhuth
27\. MCK
28\. Rochow
29\. Clark
30\. Garner

Brooks won’t get swapped. Ali just threw that out there “as what if”

Riff don’t need brooks

May not be a swap …. but something is cooking on that fron.
Too much chatter around ...... Brooks is nervous, Gould and I Cleary are mentioning the subject too often and media is on the case ..... for it be a non-event.

If this **Leilani Latu** deal is done, he certainly is large lump of a lad:

Born: 5 February 1993 (age 25 years), Sydney
Height: 1.9 m
Weight: 120 kg

he was handful for teams to stop when playing with Penriff .. !!

A fringe first grader - yep, just what we need

I thought you were smarter than that Steve.

Does have X-Factor, should never have listened to Brennan and gone to Titan's.

Like many islanders is extremely family orientated and needs the support of his family who live in Sydney.

What about Tamou? He was quality just a couple of years ago.

He's playing pretty well now too actually. If we had the choice of either Tamou or Merrin I'd take Tamou - big body, runs hard, plays plenty of minutes and makes good metres.

WHAT?????
The signing of Tamou on big money has been a waste of Penrith's salary cap from the start.

Gould's been aware of his mistake for sometime. Of course he won't publicly admit it.

Turning 30 in December he offers nothing that we already don't have.

Gus has always said nice things about Brooks . Could be on .

I think we should sign Latrell Mitchell..

When we lost Teddy I was hoping we’d go hard for Latrell unfortunately we didn’t

Or maybe we did but there was no noise about it….

Should’ve offered him Teddy’s money and that fullback spot

Wouldn't mind a player in Merrin who averages 115 meters per game and has ran over 100 meters in 14 of the games he has played this year. The meters gain in the other games were 54, 94, 93, 94, 67 and 83.

Wake up to yourself, Merton was dropped last week because he was caught breaking into Tui’s apartment to knock off his Dominos vouchers.

Tevita Pangai Junior all but certain to stay in Brisbane after verbally agreeing to two-year deal

Peter Badel,
The Courier-Mail

WAYNE Bennett says Tevita Pangai Jr has pledged his future to the Broncos, with Brisbane staving off multimillion-dollar raids from Sydney clubs to secure the NRL’s hottest forward prospect.

In a huge boost for the Broncos, Bennett said Pangai Jr would resist the temptation to test his value on the open market by inking a new deal that keeps him at Red Hill until at least 2020.

That’s some a Sombrero they have in Brisvegas

What goes through these young players minds will resist the temptation to test his value , No Sombrero just being conned to play for less money …but they are footy players and obviously getting very bad advise .

Are they are getting Maroon coloured paper bags, or the ghost of Ken Talbot is still handing out cash.
