Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Also in relation to Feki there has been a discussion about him when the club was approached by his manager but that's as far as it has gone at this stage.

Farah needs to do whats best for the club, not himself. If it comes down to Robbie or Seggy, its an easy choice.

I don't necessarily agree with that it is an easy choice. Sege will want a multi-year contract as a first choice hooker. Where does that leave Jacob Liddle? He is aware that Robbie was bought as a fill-in while his body developed. Jacob will increase his game time in 2019 and Robbie will decrease - Sege will not want to play ISP behind somebody else.

The club needs to make a decision as to who is the first choice hooker for future. If it is to be Jacob Liddle then Robbie signing for another year makes sense. If they believe Liddle not to be up to the job then sign Sege.

Tough choices indeed!

The hard truth is that we aren't going to get anywhere next season without some more signings. We may even have a worse season.

We better start signing people quick

I cant see any major signing until we sort out the Nathan Cleary thing.

We need cap space to make that happen, we are not going to give that away on bit players until we know what Nathan is doing.

Cap space..???…with only 7 players signed for 2020..you would hope so... 😕

Given the possibility of an early release I was talking about 2019.

Save a little on the 2019 cap in case an early release presents itself

What's this I hear about Taupau popping into Concord Oval a few days ago? Seems odd. Catching up with old mates?

Hopefully talking to Ivan about rejoining in 2019

Little bit of a worry that apart from the development players we're only talking to Segeyaro. Outside backs are a must and we need an edge backrower and a couple of depth forwards.

As far as I know Farah doesn't have a contract for next season. If Wests Tigers want Segeyaro then Farah should be thankful that he has had a long sucessful career and retire.

Have a read of The Pom's post above mate, he said it is unlikely that any announcements will be made until the end of the season. I read that as meaning we are talking to/signing players however they won't be announced or finalised until the season finishes. This is most likely to not derail the end of our season or those players respective clubs.

Patience young padawan, patience.

All development players go into top 30 next year leaving 6 spots. Segeyaro joining will depend on what Farah chooses to do for 2019\. Segeyaro not willing to wait wants future sorted now.

With due respect to Farah, Seg would be a much better longer term option.

Hooker possibly solved

What about some back rowers , front rowers ??

Any under discussion that you can reveal Pom ??

Looks like the Dogs are also after Segeyaro.

Yes Gibbs has left & the other 3 will be in top 30 for 2019.
