IC last night on 9 news said he wants Farah and Benji next year but it is their d to make.

I hope that means "Their decision if they're willing to take minimum wage"

They should be on more than "minimum" wage but certainly not on top 17 money.About 130-150k would be appropriate in the situation.
To be honest i dont particularly want either here next year as their age is a massive risk

They are definitely at the back end of their careers but offer much, both on the field and off from a marketing perspective.
They should get the mix of salary cap and TPA as what they deserve…ie and not less just because they are in their mid 30’s.

I have no issue in what they can earn on TPA's but the figure i suggested is cap money

Elegy in talks with Manly
Would this free up Walker
There were talks he wanted out

Would we want him as a centre
Many hate him but he can still play some good footy
Not sure on his defence though as he let one through on his cheek
Do we want a stirrer in our team
Any thoughts

Def No on Walker - Has talent but not consistent.

We desperately need consistent players

I thought he was a consistent first grader at Manly and Souths before that …

Consistent 1st Grader yes, but worthy of the money hey would receive in our team?? NO

*WESTS TIGERS TO SIGN SHARKS HOOKER?*.

The Wests Tigers are in serious talks with Cronulla Sharks hooker James Segeyaro to sign him for season 2019 and beyond!.

We could do worse,

Ps - Whos Ali?

Third parties win premierships. It’s an arms race with loaded squads and battlers.
Top teams Roosters, Storm, Sharks, Broncos have top talent 1-17\. We have to be smart and hope coaching and culture get performance up with good talent. We are way off those teams.

Yep with all there monies both the Broncos and Rorters have won the same amount of Premierships as Wests Tigers in the last 15 years…

If they can’t push us into the 8 this year, I can’t see them doing it next year when they are a year older.

Pretty much the way I see it to.

Well in Farah's defence he's only had 4 games influence and two of those were good wins, 2 ordinary losses.

Benji has played in all of our wins and 7 of our losses - i.e. we've lost the 3 games where he didn't play. So Benji himself is > 50% wins.

I don't think it's specifically related to them and their age.

You're right, they certainly didn't lose us those games.
But I also question whether at this point they can win us games either.

Coach Cleary will sort it, and though he might say to the media that it is up to the players, I suspect he has already planned out how it will be and he is just saying what sounds good to the press whilst sorting it how he wants behind the scenes.

I can't see how anyone can blame Farah and/or Marshall for the Tigers current position on the table. As for them not being able to win us games either, I think Benji had a pretty big hand in the wins we earned early in the season as well as when he came back from injury, as did Farah in the couple we won since he re-joined.
NRL games, like just about every team sport, are won on effort, hunger and desire to win from the team, as much as they are on the players. Exactly why we beat top 4 teams with far better rosters than ours, and why we have lost against teams perceived to be of lesser quality.

That's right. It's entirely their responsibility to ensure we make the finals. If we fail, the blame will rest with them.
