Sounds like a good prospect - fulltime training with the top squad in the off-season will be a challenge for him but it sounds like he still has some growing to do.

It would be great if he turns out to be another Simon Dwyer.

It is great to read about WTs attracting the best young talent. Those that continue to question Cleary's commitment to the Club should read the article and note how he met the young fellow. What better impression can be made on a young player than have the NRL coach take the time to meet and speak with you?

It was also mentioned on the Tigers web site that Ivan took time to address the Bryden's Wets Tigers Academy.

I wouldn't mind if we signed Bird, he has a lot to offer. I'm thinking he will probably end up back at Cronulla though.

Same goes for any high class player who is off contract. We are in the business of winning premierships after all.
