I didn’t really see much from the one game he played tbh don’t get the hype. Momo I’m talking about btw, can someone conivince me or tell me something that he’s done for this hype ??

Showed more talent in one game(semi final) than Fonua showed in the whole season.

But the game against the titans, IMO I think he had a poor game other than the try he scored. His defence was no where near first grade standard., Idk maybe I’m being too harsh

We can make plenty of qualified judgements based on actual performance, next year.
In meantime let’s give him a go huh?

One of the biggest problems we had as a club was the amount of leaks we had. Now that we have fixed that people are upset that they don't know what is happening inside the club. We shouldn't know!

I'm not talking about leaks, I'm talking about us being active in the player market and signing some damn good players! Matterson isn't our saviour. There is no way the speculation surrounding our coach is not affecting recruitment.

To be fair not many clubs are signing bucket loads of players.
We’ve signed 2 in positions we needed to, and maybe one or two more and that’s about all we need.
Remember the season ended on Sunday.

We also re-signed Benj and Robbie

Not sure how their contracts will stand if Cleary is not here - seemed like both committed under the assumption that he would be here. Farah even stated he rang him and asked before he signed.

Well, why did you sign him?

Well, why did you sign him?

Watched couple of his games including ISP ….. right he did nothing spectacular. However he has something there that I saw which to me shows promise. Only a young guy but big strapping fellow, good step a reasonable goal kicker from what I'm told ...... so few positives to look forward to. But than I am an optimist and tend to rely on confidence by our coaching staff to give him one of our available spots in the squad.
Sometimes you watch a young guy in lower grades and see immediately that there is special talent and greatness there (kids I recall like Boyd, Lamb, Taylor, Sterling, Motimer, Thurston, Brown, Pearce, Moses, Tedesco etc etc etc) Others you see in their early debuts as potential for solid first grader but then reach high level if given an opportunity (Cronin, Pearce, Cordner etc).
MOMO makes it to my latter category and I wish him all the best to achieve the level we all would like to see.

Showed more talent in one game(semi final) than Fonua showed in the whole season.

Ain't that the truth.

I'd say more than he has shown in his whole life.

LOL settle down. He's got potential to be a better all round player than Fonua, but Fonua had games where he made over 200 metres.

Well the semi final he played in he opposed Gagai in the centres and made him look ordinary.
I didn’t see the Gold Coast game so I’ll take your word he wasn’t up to standard.
But in the semi he was good enough to play for weststigers any day of the week.

Running over 200 meters and dropping the ball 8 times doesn’t get a pass mark in my book.
If he could hold the ball he’d be one of our best, unfortunately he just turns it over to cheaply.

Sorry I am all for supporting how players but how on earth did Momo make Gagai look ordinary??? Momo didn't do a lot wrong in that game but didn't exactly show any signs that he could break it open. He was there in the right spot to catch and put the down the try, other than that he was just solid. Won't change anything in our attack in terms of giving us that creative spark or options out wide that we need.

It's pretty hard to drop the ball 8 times and still make 200 metres in a game, I'd say you're wrong about that. Consistency is an issue, but he's had a couple of games where he's been unstoppable.

There is no hype over Mom. He's the opposite of hype. A solid player that quietly goes about his business. He's not a game breaking player, and doesn't seem to have much speed. But he seems the type that won't let you down in the way Fonua, Kev, Nof do…

He's a winger in my opinion, we probably had little choice but play him in the centres at the back end of the season. Kepp him on the wing and he'll star.

His second game he opposed the Australian/Qld center and never gave him a chance, as a result he looked ordinary not being able to crack Momo to get his team on the front foot.
You just said he didn’t do a lot wrong and he scored the match winner.
Yes it was an easy try but he was on the spot and he caught it and put it down.
He also didn’t leak points.

I’m not sure how much more a player has to do to get a pat on the back.
If it was Latrell Mitchell who played that exact game I’m sure he would have been spoken of very highly.

He is too slow for wing these days and very suspect under a high ball so imo not a winger

Just to clarify…...... 8 times was an exaggeration, I don’t go and check the stats Page before every post.

Consistency is a massive issue.
He honestly drops the ball more than anyone in the team, Being a powerful runner of the ball is fine, being a sloth in defence and getting caught on the edges also needs a mention.
I’d have Mahe as a back up option at best, he didn’t show enough when he was fit last year to earn a starting spot.
A young bloke who steps up in semi’s and does the job required has the headstart in my book.

Faster then Nofo I reckon and no worse under the high ball. There's definately better wingers going around but I think he's of first grade standard.

From my memory (it isn't that crash hot these days) he only made 200 metres in one game - he averaged 150 per game.

Some games he had feet like hands - short and not great under the high ball and has a tendency for brain snaps.

I wouldn't be arguing whether he or Momo gets the centre spot - I'd be shopping him.

Never know your luck in a big city - we might find a club silly enough.

Well we found a team in the UK stupid enough to take Tui so anything is possible.
