For me Terepo and Tagataese fit our needs

Can't believe Brimson is unsigned , pure insanity if true

TPJ, Terepo and Oats fit our needs nicely and I'd happily take Luai as a bench utility with Xfactor as well. Those additions would boost our team immeasurably.

Tagatease has won premierships at Melbourne and Cronulla , big body , heaps of experience , and many thought at the time a good signing at Brisbane

Exactly what we need

Unable to crack a regular starting spot at any of those teams - pass.

Tagatese has too many candles in his cake.

TPJ or Oats would be a dream.
But Kelly or Feki would be a solid addition.

Ok

Say Bennet Did one more year at Brissy.
Then came here on a multi year dear.

Brings a name or two with him, would that be worth having Ivan stay until next seasons end and then both part ways?

It’s only one year….
I think Bennet could be the type of coach we need.
We haven’t had a coach that’s really been proven before, we’ve always(bar Sheens)had coaches stepping the way up instead of a real figure to follow.
He might not be our man, but we need something different to get different results.

When Ivan started here, they said not to worry, and I bought into it, I admit that openly.

First year, we bought toilers, hard workers, no superstars (our one superstar left) and they said we were building a culture.

They said the plan was to upgrade them in the second and third years, replace individual players with better ones.

Well, we are starting the second full year soon and we have seen half a dozen experienced first graders go (by experienced I mean have played at least some first grade games) and their replacements are one upgrade (Matterson,) one young up and comer (Momorovski - excuse spelling it's past midnight) and the rest untried youngsters.

Where's the upgrades? Where's the improvements in the squad? Mbye was a great addition, true, signed several months ago now, and I am concerned that since this Penrith drama went down, Ivan's care factor has decreased, hence the plan has drifted.

To my knowledge Ivan did not say that this was the plan, but if this isn't the plan what is? And what's happened to it? And if Ivan is going to Penrith, when did he know, because he let some of our depth go to Penrith in Grant and MWZ, and they haven't really been replaced by anyone with experience, and it looks very dodgy.

Some good points here.

Im not overly concerned with the Grant and MWZ thing but the longer this goes the more it seems Ivan hasnt really done enough.

He needs to go and this needs to end.

I think that's exactly what will happen. Bennett won't be here next season, he has unfinished business with the Broncos after the poor way they went out of the finals this year. Those extremely talented youngsters up there will be another year older and wiser, I think Bennett knows he has a good tilt at a Premiership with them next season, so unless he is pushed out, I'm certain he will see out his contract. Hope to see him here in 2020.

I want Bennett but I don't think we can afford to wait until 2020\. I don't want 2019 to be a write off and that's exactly what it will be if we still have Ivan at the helm. We need to move on and we need to do it now.

So basically Madge or Toovs. I wouldn't want anyone else outside those two or Bennett.

Yeah, next year we'd be just in a holding position. If Bennett's not interested in next year you move on the next candidate.

We do for sure Avo, but I can't see it happening now. Bennett has every right to see out his contract and his heart has always been with Brisbane. I'm sure he would love nothing more than to see out his tenure with them with a Premiership and let's face it, they do have a team that can win it. I really can't see him leaving now, unless of course he is pushed, but I don't think that will happen either. The Broncos want Seibold and I reckon they are happy to wait another year until he's a free agent in 2020.

I'm happy to have Cleary stay with us for another year, I think he is professional enough to do the job he is being paid for, but if WT management see it differently then there is always Maguire. However signing Maguire will be the end of the possibility of us getting Bennett in 2020 and I would rather wait for Bennett, tbh - he has more to offer a club like ours.

read this morning that the knights had a huge play for panjai jnr , and lodge , now it didnt happen and i have no idea if the tigers had a crack, but at least the knights have come out and advised there fans that they tried to sign players, they also stated they were after mann and another ist grader, what the hell have we been told, YES we upgraded 3 ISP plodders, and we the fans are supposed to be happy. with what we have i think we could be in a battle for the wooden spoon next year.

BP, who knows what’s going on behind the scenes??? We could be talking to a host of players or nobody. I don’t mind the silence if It is to protect their recruitment drive, but the NRL being the beast it is always has leaks, and player managers are the masters at it. Anyway there is zero talk around recruitment at the Tigers and that is a real worry. Maybe the Cleary thing is dominating the Tiger talk, but as a long term member I am really worried about our squad for 2019

It's no use talking to the converted. Why don't a delegation of Wests tigers fans approach Cleary and Pascoe at concord Oval on the first day of pre-season training to express how miserable they are feeling with the club's lack of purpose? Any volunteers?

It's no secret Ivan will end up at Penrith but when
They would like him now but
We wont let him go now

We want Bennett and if he does come it will be for the start of 2020 season
But that wont happen unless Penrith take Cleary off our hands for the 2020 season

They could throw a spanner in the works and say we have signed him for 2021
So we miss out on Bennett or need to pay out Cleary

What a mess
Thanks Gus
All credit to you
You 🐕

Cleary cannot be anywhere near the club on the first day of pre-season.

Does the fact Madge basically coached the same bunnies side from this year to 12th position not concern you?

I know he won a comp but he did have a star studded side.
