Read and Mole both saying rabbits in for Merrin. 19/20 depending on when Wayne arrives at souths. Buzz also hinted it last night without giving a name.

As good of a year Brooks had, I don't think he's quite there as a player other teams would be throwing the kitchen sink at. I'm sure sides will be interested, but might hold off on offering him big dollars till they see how he starts 2019\. We have time imo, no one is going to make him any crazy offers at least till the start of the season.

Thats the thing, which club would make him a priority.

Maybe Souths with Bennett?

Broncos with Seibold.

No one really stands out that would pay him good money.

He has a good mate there …they had a pretty good combination going in their early years...

Fonua Blake would be great for the tigers, he has the go forward we need, consistently getting Manly the hard yards on every run, knows how to offload also.
I think we’ve made it difficult for Michael Maguire by promoting the 3 juniors to the top 30, restricting Maguire’s acquisitions - I’m sure we could have held out a bit longer. I’m happy we upgraded Mikaele as I rate him very highly but I would have kept the other 2 spots free for the coach (now Maguire) to evaluate and make his mark. We all know the old chestnut of ‘inheriting’ players.

Six months ago we were being linked to Kelly by every second media outlet. Would have been a good buy, but I guess they went out and got themselves the Chook centre instead

Would rather the centre that Easts are unhappy to have lost. Not because he came to us, but simply because Easts rated him and knew they couldn't hang on to him when they have their future in Mitchell and Manu when he would likely go close to getting a start with us.

just got a message from a mate, founa blake was at bulldogs training today, but no klemmer. was also told that WE HAD signed a forward, but he would not release his name will try to find out.

however Dessie is saying Marty isn't going anywhere.
Is that the same as having the chairman come out and say "the coach has 100% commitment and support of the Board"?
