Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

When are we gonna make a good signing? Rumours have it the Bulldogs are signing Dylan Napa, and their the team with salary cap problems. We should be signing him.

Well firstly it’s just a rumour. If we’re going to go taking rumours as truth then we’ve already signed Wighton, Taupau and Coen Hess so there are your good signings…Secondly, if they sign Napa it’ll be because they’ll have lost Klemmer, hence the salary cap space. Thirdly Dylan Napa is a dud of a signing. Massively overpriced for what he delivers (cue complaints about how Origin players aren’t good enough for us...)

You need to go away mate and work out the difference between a good and bad signing

Might want to let the coach start before we begin jumping up and down.. Just a suggestion..

The footage was weak at best. How he got a suspended sentence is over the top. Deserves to be fined and charged with affray. There’s no way he would have been charged if he wasn’t a NRL player.

Completely wrong. Anyone would have been charged for that. Affray would have been a stupid charge. It’s generally used when there’s a bit of each way or it’s difficult to determine role in a large melee. Here it was all him going up and instigating fights - hitting people in the head and head butting. He caused ABH in two instances. Individual assault and AoABH charges were appropriate.

As for penalty, a suspended sentence is well within range, especially post-Loveridge.

He’s overpriced and doesn’t play more than 3 good games a year. Suspension target and can’t make metres. Those 3 good games are in origin and 1\. A year against the Burgess Boys.

I'm stoked we didn't go near Napa. That is what I call a useless signing.

Seriously, Napa is not a player we should be signing. We need meter eaters, not hot heads who need a good forward pack around them to make any impact. He would not get dominated in a pack like ours

We should be looking at the Burgess boys or Taupau

Napa made 100m+ only twice this season. We have enough forwards who struggle to make metres..

ur 100% right, it appears that other teams can get players who are still under contract, yet we struggle to get players of contract. even if napa is a d*** head he is just what our pack needs, or we could have gone with these players, gavet, funa- blake, boyd, glasby. whether we bid for them or not who knows, BUT AT LEASE WITH OTHER CLUBS U KNOW THAT UR CLUB HAS AT LEASE TRIED. YET WE GET EXCITED , with the up grade of ISP players.

It’s weak worse happens every Saturday night in Newtown. In this weak world it’s chargeable in my day cops would have given him a clip over the ears and dragged him in for the night to sober up. Sorry don’t agree with you or society it’s clearly unacceptable and moronic but hardly a beating dished out.

dufty? yea or nah?

We'd be mad if we don't have a crack at him, he's got great hands, super fast, a very illusive runner, and very hard to handle / tackle. Not sure how much he's after .. but I'd say yea .. !!

on the sports breakfast this morning it was stated that duffy was really on the nose with his team mates, no reason given, but he most of done something bad i guess.

falls into the tool category..so probably not along with Wighton..

I live a block from the station and it’s not worse than I see daily, let alone on the weekends. Cops here when I grew up would have more than sorted him out, then again there are cops outside clubs in Sydney. He was lookin for people half his size by the looks of the cctv…probably works in Canberra.
