Matt Lodge to re-sign with donkeys for two more years. Oates and TPJ to re-sign also with donkeys - Brent Read.

That would be massive for them. All they need is an accomplished no 7 and they will be a powerhouse. Best crop of juniors the competition has seen in years.

Agree, who that no 7 is I'm not sure. Souths fans wouldn't be too happy, they'd thought all those three would be joining them, though contract lengths aren't known for Oates and TPJ.

I”d be filthy missing out on TPJ. I don’t think Oates has ever had any intention of going anywhere.

I’m surprised their name hasn’t been in the mix for Johnson. Very surprised.

More of I don't get it -

Cronulla - how come they are suddenly broke - only a couple of years ago they were spruiking how they owned their ground and were going to make a schazillion on the housing development on land they owned. They were going to be one of the richest clubs in the NRL. I know housing prices have dropped in Sydney but something doesn't seem right about this whole club. And now there is talk that the NRL may own them - i thought the NRL said no more propping sides up. I agree with Geo - kick em out

and Manly..

Moses, Te Maire Martin, Luke Brooks and Corey Norman are the most obvious targets for the Warriors as they are off contract at the end of next season and may be persuaded to shift clubs sooner if they were offered a long-term deal.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/11/28/shaun-johnson-released-by-new-zealand-warriors-effective-immediately/

It's immense pressure for any half back coming into to the warriors and to be honest unless you are cronk I think no one else is up to the task.

Hope Kearney picks Norman as he worked with him in Parramatta! You go you good thing *sic*

Anyone else have a feeling RE: Paul Momirovski that he's a dark horse like Simona was before he broke into first grade?

Relatively unknown, been plying his trade in lower grades but everyone knows the talent is there and he should be in first grade… Then bang, he gets his chance - looks great, fast and talented. Grabs it with both hands and never looks back.

This signing is low key a great one. We'll see.

Apparently the Chooks really didn't want to let him go but know he is stuck behind two quality players and will walk into our FG side. If Robbo rates him he must be OK.

Hopefully in the not too distant future we will be saying 'teddy who?' due to Momirovski playing so well in the centres and Mbye killing it at fb

Highly unlikely but to see it turn out better for us than if we had to of kept teddy and they moved Mitchell to fb and had manu and momo in the centres and that combo turning out to be one of the great backlines

I must say… Young Joey Manu - at present, is the best centre in the game.
Looks SBW like in ability, size, strength, etc.

Hard to get a start over him & Latrell - who is also a superstar.

I would rate Manu as the better player and wish we could get Lomax from the dragons but unfortunately there is little possibility of that as he is highly rated by the people that count there.

Barring injury, it's pretty hard to imagine anyone regretting signing Tedesco TBF.

I rate him highly as well. Does need a good off season though. 5 to 10kgs to the frame and away we go.

same with tevita

Agreed. No matter how good a player is, noone would really regret the signing, unless ruled out or caareer ends before it stars
**cough**MATT BALLIN**

why the hell could we not steal lomax from the drag queens, he would on about 150 to 250 per season. why not offer him 350 per season, he will be a gun and will then be a steal at that price. every other club is raiding players this way except us, we need to be more pro active. and while we are there take that big backrower blake i think is his name.

Because he's contracted until the end of 2020 and we can't approach him until November and there is no chance the Dragons would release him even if he sought a release…

I am friends with his cousin, she told me saints have a high regard for him and are holding him back on purpose because he is a long term investment, but they still have 2 very good centres in 1st grade

I still think Latrell outpoints Manu. Sure Manu had a good back end of 2018 and in some realms of thought "you are only as good as your last game", but I feel Manu's form has been recent and unproven over time, whereas Latrell has been a machine for 2 full seasons now.

Both came to grade in 2016 but Manu has taken longer to find his feet, and personally I cannot call a player the best in his position in the game when his top form is 6 months of duration.

Why can't we do this, why can't we just do that. I'm sure the club has good reasons.

Absolutely! Throwing stones and/or getting frustrated when you're on the outside making assumptions achieves nothing.

The club doesn't want it's every move played out in the media - good on them!
