I must say… Young Joey Manu - at present, is the best centre in the game.
Looks SBW like in ability, size, strength, etc.

Hard to get a start over him & Latrell - who is also a superstar.

I would rate Manu as the better player and wish we could get Lomax from the dragons but unfortunately there is little possibility of that as he is highly rated by the people that count there.

why the hell could we not steal lomax from the drag queens, he would on about 150 to 250 per season. why not offer him 350 per season, he will be a gun and will then be a steal at that price. every other club is raiding players this way except us, we need to be more pro active. and while we are there take that big backrower blake i think is his name.

Lomax has been marked by the dragons as "must keep" and has been highly regarded by the club for quite a while. He is rated as their future best back but not being rushed by the club.As much as i would like to see him in our colours i cant see it happening.Lol i have just read your post 851 and i have been told exactly the same by someone connected to the dragons camp

**I still think Latrell outpoints Manu.** Sure Manu had a good back end of 2018 and in some realms of thought "you are only as good as your last game", but I feel Manu's form has been recent and unproven over time, whereas Latrell has been a machine for 2 full seasons now.

Both came to grade in 2016 but Manu has taken longer to find his feet, and personally I cannot call a player the best in his position in the game when his top form is 6 months of duration.

You are probably right, but gee Manu pulled Mitchell's pants down in the test match.

Why can't we do this, why can't we just do that. I'm sure the club has good reasons.

Absolutely! Throwing stones and/or getting frustrated when you're on the outside making assumptions achieves nothing.

The club doesn't want it's every move played out in the media - good on them!

Agree

If Lomax is a must keep then I’d happily take Euan Aitken of their hands.

This thread has turned into more of a wish list for some. Starting to mention blokes that are contracted and no chance of coming to the Tigers. We should only be discussing potential signings, even if they are just based on rumors.
Just my thoughts, for what its worth guys and gals.

I don’t think ‘contracted’ and ‘no chance’ necessarily complement each other any more. Sadly.

Anyone else have a feeling RE: Paul Momirovski that he's a dark horse like Simona was before he broke into first grade?

Relatively unknown, been plying his trade in lower grades but everyone knows the talent is there and he should be in first grade… Then bang, he gets his chance - looks great, fast and talented. Grabs it with both hands and never looks back.

This signing is low key a great one. We'll see.

Apparently the Chooks really didn't want to let him go but know he is stuck behind two quality players and will walk into our FG side. If Robbo rates him he must be OK.

Correct, rated highly by all the coaching staff at the chooks and rated a bigger loss than Matterson. Can play at 6 too.

I think the players that are already contracted have been mentioned throughout the thread, even as early as the first few pages. Although these contracted players could find a way out of their contact the chances of this happening are still relatively small.

Parra released a statement today saying he’s not going anywhere…....not that that means anything . I know if it was Wests I’d want us to dig their heels in, but if a kid is being offered that kind of money elsewhere, do you stand in his way?

Because he's contracted until the end of 2020 and we can't approach him until November and there is no chance the Dragons would release him even if he sought a release…

hang on there has been many a player change clubs of late who had contracted for 2-3 years yet they all got done.

Let me guess managed by I Moses?

Because their clubs make them available for offers or because their shonky managers think they can get more money for themselves and start making unsanctioned approaches along with stories to justify release on "compassionate grounds". If we asked the Dragons if we could approach Lomax with an offer they would say no…and probably some other words.

I have high hopes for Momirovski, I think he could be a real smokie.
I would have him in my 17 ahead of Mahe, as I think he won't have the same error rate.
Mahe is great 4 times out of ten, but the other six he is horrendous.

The funniest bit is Mitch being told to look elsewhere, he is not being re-signed
