why the hell could we not steal lomax from the drag queens, he would on about 150 to 250 per season. why not offer him 350 per season, he will be a gun and will then be a steal at that price. every other club is raiding players this way except us, we need to be more pro active. and while we are there take that big backrower blake i think is his name.

Because he's contracted until the end of 2020 and we can't approach him until November and there is no chance the Dragons would release him even if he sought a release…

hang on there has been many a player change clubs of late who had contracted for 2-3 years yet they all got done.

Because their clubs make them available for offers or because their shonky managers think they can get more money for themselves and start making unsanctioned approaches along with stories to justify release on "compassionate grounds". If we asked the Dragons if we could approach Lomax with an offer they would say no…and probably some other words.

well we do just what u said approach there money hungry managers. once they know they can get 100,000 more they will either get released or upgraded, and another player at that club becomes available.

The Wests Tigers are believed to be shopping former Canterbury Bulldog Josh Reynolds for the 2020 season.

Reynolds, 29, signed a four year contract with the Wests Tigers during the 2017 season, believed to be around 3 million over four years.

In his first season with the Tigers, Reynolds was forced to wait to make his debut with the club due to a hamstring complaint. Reynolds then made his long awaited debut in round 6 against The Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles but suffered a shoulder bone fracture and was ruled out for at least 4-6 weeks.

Reynolds managed to play a further four games upon his return, but once again Reynolds succumbed to his ongoing shoulder injury and was ruled out for the season.

After just one season at the Tigers and new coach Michael Maguire at helm it is understood that the new coach doesn’t see where Reynolds fits into the team going forward and has informed him that he is free to explore his options going forward.

Reports suggest that the Dragons are showing some interest in the 29-year old as the club is looking to replace Gareth Widdop who is now expected to depart the club after the 2019 season.

If the Wests Tigers are successful in off loading Reynolds for the 2020 season this would pave the wave for the club to go all in on gaining the services of Shaun Johnson for the 2020 season and beyond.

Michael Maguire and Shaun Johnson have formed a good relationship especially now with Michael being the New Zealand coach and it is understood Maguire have convinced Johnson to sign on with the Tigers for the 2020 season.

Reynolds, just 1 year at the club and 5 games for the Tigers now looks set to make a switch to another club for the 2020 season or even possibly the 2019 season.

I can understand how this is possible, Johnson signs a 1 year deal with the Sharks, then at the end of the 2019 season we release Reynolds to the Dragons, the Dragons release Widdop to the Super League, and Johnson comes to us. This could all just be Michael Macguire's plan to get Johnson as he formed a strong bond with Johnson during the England test series.

Cya REYNOLDS..

Also Clarkey was running the Nrl rumours and update pages.

Very well spoken, knowledgeable young chap.

The NRL hit him up to change the logo and name as they want to see him succeed and not breach copyright infringements.

He has a lot of player support behind him supporting his pages and getting him views and interest by doing exclusive Q and As for his pages.

He is a titans fan but he shows us tigers a lot of love.

Rated Mbye as like the 4th best fullback for 2019 and has us finishing in the 8 i believe.

Very fair with his views and info.

Don't know what to make of that, Johnson would be good, but Reynolds just needs some luck with injuries, crikey's just like Liddle, maybe we have too many of these type of players

I find this disappointing as I think a fit Reynolds will be an asset for us but in saying that I’m happy for Madge to run the show and do what he deems fit. It’s probably a longevity move to avoid having an idle player on good coin for an extended time … I’m sure our medical staff are more aware of Reynolds’ previously undisclosed injury issues than when he was as initially signed.

I must say… Young Joey Manu - at present, is the best centre in the game.
Looks SBW like in ability, size, strength, etc.

Hard to get a start over him & Latrell - who is also a superstar.

He has issues in defence that were exploited by England. Attack wise he is outstanding and his defence will only get better.

Have to agree with you 851\. Reynolds is a far more complete player than Johnson, and proved that in the few games he managed to play for us this year. He is a strong clubman too. If this is true it would be a step backwards. Josh just needs an off season to get fit and then come out all guns blazing. I would be happy if Benji didn't get a look in in 2019 as it would mean Josh is carving them up.

sounds like non-sense to me. In one of Madge’s Press conference’s, he said he loved Josh renoylds as a player, loves how he’s is a competitor and he’s his sort of player. All rubbish.

Reynolds is the easy to one get rid of. Im sure the new coach looked at Marshall and Reynolds on the books and shook his head. You only need one.

Unfortunately for Reynolds Benji is WT legend, would be hard for a new coach to try and move him on.

Personally id be happy to give Reynolds a chance.

Im not buying it yet either.
Dont think any new coach walks into a team and taps players on the shoulder of that calibre, without giving them opportunity to impress on the field. It would unsettle the squad and not the best way to build relationships. Find it very hard to believe at this point.
But after this week anything is possible!!

So the rumour was that Johnson had signed with a club from 2020 and we all jumped on the rorters bandwagon. Now the rumours have morphed to Reynolds being shopped around because Johnson is at Wt in 2020\. Hmmm or maybe Ivans connections with Johnson at the Warriors has lured him to penriff to replace Maloney and help his besotted son to a premiership.
