Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Michael Jennings strikes me as a very lazy player just taking the big dollars he is on. Form normally improves around contract time but eventually he will settle back into his no care attitude. Over rated and over paid. Could be great with the right attitude but not likely to happen.

Still too early to be shopping grub around. If he struggles again with injury next year, then you could start those discussions. Till then, I’d give him a chance. He was pretty inspirational in the few games he did play this year. That’s worth persisting with. Johnson is off to the Sharks, we wouldn’t be shopping grub around for him.

That is the problem though GNR

If he struggles again his market value drops dramatically and we probably get stuck with him

I've been saying for months - why not Robert Jennings? He has the best upside of the 3 Jennings brothers IMO.
Can play centre or wing - carts the ball back well and has speed and strength. Souths have been slow to tie him up for some reason.

TIGERS READY TO POUNCE ON WADE GRAHAM
Watch for the Wests Tigers to make a play for Cronulla co-captain Wade Graham.

New Tigers coach Michael Maguire is a massive fan, having previously attempted to lure the NSW Origin forward to Souths.

Graham is eager to remain at the Sharks, but is waiting for head coach Shane Flanagan to extend his future at the club.

Financial stress aside, there are major questions being asked of Cronulla chairman Dino Mezzatesta and CEO Barry Russell and their abnormally slow ability to re-sign the head coach who has taken the Sharks to seven of the past eight finals series.

Good pick up if true. When does he come off contract?

Only problem is they are empty now , that's why the rats are jumping ship

1\. It’s not happening
2\. We don’t need anymore backrowers
3\. Do these people just chuck out names for the fun of it just because we have a new coach ??

In an indication that the Knights recruitment drive shows no sign of stopping soon, Wighton has emerged as a primary target.

The Raiders head office were made aware of the Knights' interest by Wighton's advisors over the past fortnight.

Needless to say, the Raiders aren't about to let one of their marquee members of their squad go - even despite his recent off-field issues.

DT reporting Bennett and Seibold could swap jobs as soon as today.

Bennett on FOX today saying he is coaching Brisbane next year, so Bronco's will have to sack Bennett this afternoon to get this done, otherwise they will have a coach who they don't want

We dodged a bullet with Bennett!
After all the remuneration he’s sucked from club during his coaching career he’s acting like a 2 year old to force a payout from the Broncos, how do Souths feel now?
Show Me The ? ? ? ?

It's giving me a laugh. None of the usual concessions from Wayne. "If you want me gone, sack me and pay me out."

Can I just get back to reality for a moment instead of the usual guessing games on this thread.

Gotta hand it to Good Old Wayne he's played the Broncos a treat, ain't going nowhere without that cheque in his back pocket.

Been told numerous times how professional the management of Broncos are by the same fools who have spent untold waking hours denigrating the Tigers for years.

Well they ain't lookin so professional at the moment, HEY.

I’m not buying the Reynolds rumor either. Nothing wrong with having both Marshall and Reynolds in the squad….Marshall should only be getting circa $250k.

The parra kiwi 2nd rower and Jennings would be handy additions. Maybe just a prop and Quick winger short.

Both the Jennings boys would be ok.

Michael Jennings could be used as a wrecking ball to demolish the old Balmain Leagues Club - about the only use I can see for him. He is so slow these days and has been bludging in the centres, should have been moved into the forwards years ago BUT he’s too soft now - Parra can keep him.

Here, Here Another DUD.

Might still have speed - but is a first class bludger on the field.

No to Wade Graham -his body is showing signs of wear and tear after all those years punching above his weight. We don,t need another Ballin.

People are saying good on Bennett for honouring a contract. They forget him saying that the Broncos dudded him once but they won’t do it again.

This is pure spite by Bennett.

Everyone on here understood that with Cleary, you can’t have your coach planning recruitment and staff for another club next year. No matter who they are.

May be slower, but still would be 3x faster than every back we have, and comfortably the best centre we have.
