Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Reynolds is the easy to one get rid of. Im sure the new coach looked at Marshall and Reynolds on the books and shook his head. You only need one.

Unfortunately for Reynolds Benji is WT legend, would be hard for a new coach to try and move him on.

Personally id be happy to give Reynolds a chance.

Surely Benji will retire after next season if not sooner?

2020 for sure. Im more suggesting that they might be trying to move Reynolds on for 2019

sounds like non-sense to me. In one of Madge’s Press conference’s, he said he loved Josh renoylds as a player, loves how he’s is a competitor and he’s his sort of player. All rubbish.

I heard Madge say that also, however can you believe anyone in NRL world these days - more like Wally World.

99% sure he and farah will walk out into the sunset together next season

Far out, NRL is becoming like eating st a buffet. No sooner have you filled you plate full of food then you’re eyeing off what you’re gonna shove down your throat next.

We signed Reynolds - honour that contract. Look for the next plate of food in 3 years time.

It's a buffet mate
You can go back as many times as you like
Just scrape what you dont want off the plate wipe your hands and start again
Might even save room for dessert

And if its a buffet in Cronulla you can just run up the bill, feel a bit disgruntled that the caviar is no longer on the menu but look forward to the lobster being added knowing full well that you can't afford any of it but not giving a damn.

Still too early to be shopping grub around. If he struggles again with injury next year, then you could start those discussions. Till then, I’d give him a chance. He was pretty inspirational in the few games he did play this year. That’s worth persisting with. Johnson is off to the Sharks, we wouldn’t be shopping grub around for him.

Yep give Grub the chance this season (2019) and see how he fairs .. if it's an injury riddled season then off to greener pastures for him. I reckon he'll go back to the Dogs or head off to the ESL to earn some good coin before retiring.

No offence to Reynolds but after his last 2 seasons I really can't see the Dragons having him as their #1 option to replace Widdop. This rumour just sounds completely made up, which is unsurprising given it's on 5th tackle.

Fair enough, I thought we were talking 2020.

The club hasn’t made any statement regarding this issue, it’s only a few journo’s speculating.

Guessing the Robert Jennings rumour is a Facebook one?

I saw Thommo in a video on Wt website; he was wearing a moon boot in the coffee shop interview, so maybe we do need Jennings.

I think either way we are a couple of outside backs short in our squad.

I would imagine we are trying to move on ET and McQueen - sign 2 outside backs and leave us with a spot if needed

Jennings would be a good signing - can play centre or wing, scores a lot of tries, is big in hieght and size and Madge has coached him before so culture wise he must be fine

Jesus wept, if we're looking at shopping Grub to make a player for someone like SJ I'll give it away. SJ is a less consistent Marshall. Grub is a much more complete player and we have him signed at far less than what SJ will ask for.

Let the guy get through a season fit and then make the assessment.
