He lacked anything in attack last year, and was down on his tackle counts from the year before. He did look busted for most of the year though. To me though it looks like Madge wants to lay Matterson at 13 .. maybe Eisenhuth or Mikaele with Lawrence in the back row .. ?? (even Garnet for that matter)

Like Matterson at lock as he was a 5/8 and has a good passing game. Put young Mikale in with Lawrence as he is a beast and has good size and a big motor. Use ET as a back up for defensive work at the back end of the half when the team needs a break and Packer is off the field as he can set the line speed.

Worry about a coach that wants to adjust the team to his philosophy rather than working with what he has.
I have always thought ET would be better on an edge, but he has been used to prop up weak spots in our roster.
Maguire going back to a game plan that was found out years ago is a concern. I don’t think he will see out his contract.

Maguire has already stated he adapts to what he has…rather than the other way round....He coached differently at St Helens than he did at Souffs..as he did with the Kiwis as well ..lot of ball movement with them against the Poms with centres and backrowers running outside in lines in attack..
What he has here IDK...seems some fans want to pigeon hole him tho...
