Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

On the other forum, a poster intimated the WTs may have signed a young Manly forward named Josh Schuster. I can’t verify the truth but I do know Schuster is a highly regarded second row forward. With Lambkin and Warwick at our Club, it makes sense.

Wayne Lambkin getting another of his former player across to us

let's say that the rumours of Martin/Reynolds and Brailey are true, our spine could potentially be vastly inexperienced going into next year.

M'Bye
Madden
Brooks
Brailey

not sure that Madge would do something like this mind you, but doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

With the googling and video I have found on this guy, I am bloody excited about his potential recruitment. Looks like a fantastic proposition.

Being interested in a player and being able to sign them are poles apart. We don’t have the pulling power of a few other teams so converting interest into signings is the hard part. Although Madge might improve our image out there in the market place. Of course talk of relocation doesn’t help your chances

The chance to work with RF as a tutor new year would be a bit of pulling power.
That's if RF is still around the club.
The Sharks will try and hold onto Blayke as he has the most potential.

I thought this was a great point.

Im not sure a coach like Maguire would want to run with that either.

We don't need Martin, or Glenn.

Save money and no more rejects.

As for JR, I don't think he fits HOWEVER if he goes then we still.bave to find a 5/8 for next year.

The sharks want to keep Blayke on the books. However with Johnson,Dugan, moylan, fafita, ghraham etc plus the salty cap penalty they wouldn't be able to afford to pay much. We could actually be chance. Maybe that's the reason we arnt keeping Musgtove. We are chasing a hooker.

Many clubs have top quality hookers and quality back ups

The Saints have young Robson

Even the Dogs have JMK

Melbourne have Brandon Smith

NZ have Roache and Tevaga

Brisbane has a new superstar whose name escapes me

Roosters have Radley

Cowboys have someone coming through as well

Titans have Rein / Peats

If people don't believe Liddle is the answer …..we can wait a lot of quality hookers are off contract this season

Good to see we are looking at other hooking options. Maybe Liddle’s stock is dropping. Sharks have big wraps on Brailey though, so that could be a little optimistic.

I have a feeling Ava will end up back here. Musgrove will most likely be let go at some point, and Ava is out of favour at the Sharks. Plus we were reported to have been interested in him a couple weeks ago when he looked like being moved on. Something to think about 🤔

Foran looked OK when his forwards were on top v Parra and his defence was good throughout the game

The quality of ball he got was woeful at times …he must have had to either reach above his head for a pass or wait for the ball or it was behind him at least 4 -5 times

I'm not saying we should go all out just yet ....but lets give Foran another month before writing him off for good

Way to miss the point. Spud said he’s never seen a player change so dramatically in his prime. Marshall did, 6 or 7 years ago. He went from one of the games most elite players to a virtual plodder overnight.
