Can we delate this Folau rubbish as he is not coming back to NRL let alone us and the NRL has said this.. Stop with the wasting time and talk about something that might have an actual chance of happening as this wont.
 
What are the consequences? also you are forgetting that he included many others in his tweet, including drunks and many more. No one however is putting a spotlight on these other issues. One sided isn't it?
 
There are millions who everyday put there opinions and beliefs on social media and even on this forum where some players and there friends and families are mercilessy criticiased. Yet they get away with it.
 
This is a whole can of worms probably not best located in the rumours thread, but basically, the NRL / AFL / Rugby Australia / Cricket Australia get to choose what is acceptable social media / commentary under their banner and what they consider unacceptable.

So whether or not Folau has the right to his opinions is not under scrutiny, it's whether or not the sports governing bodies choose to penalise players who go public with inflammatory / unpopular opinions.

Folau can say whatever he likes but Rugby Australia are allowed to censure him for it. Also, his current media presence is built on a platform that RA own and are permitted to remove.
 
They don't , if it breaks Forum rules they get banned

I still come back to the same point , no NRL club will pay a million for a winger , especially one who has been out of the game for countless years
 
Izzys comments also trigger moderate reasonable people that abhor intolerance. Its a shame some people can't differentiate between spreading vitriole unnecessarily and preaching love as was Christs message as I understand it. Having the likes of him involved with our club is exactly what we don't need. Maybe some would prefer us to be the center of attention for all the wrong reasons for ever. I don't know, the mind boggles.
 
Anthony Mundine made similar comments but seeing he is a practicing Muslim it was ok. Imams in our society condemn homosexual behaviour in mosques on our soil. Nobody is offended or condemning it.
It's madness. I don't care what people do and I feel everyone should be able to voice their opinion whether you agree or not.
Why should Izzy be punished when we have others in society who call for a lot worse fate for homosexuals.

What a load of rubbish. Anthony Mundine is criticised and mocked by 90% of the population. The only difference is he isn’t employed by an organisation that can sack him for it.
 
I'm talking about the condemnation. The liberal media targets Christianity whilst Islam gets a pass on homosexual hatred.
It's safe to say whilst Christianity is on the decline in Australia, Islam is on the rise.
Old churches being bought and turned into mosques.
I weep for my grandchildren and feel for my Grandfather who fought in the war to keep Australia what it was. He would be turning in his grave.
 
The problem is that Mundine is attacked by the liberal media and the rest of society. The same thing happens to Folau and rightly so.

Your argument doesn't make any sense.
 
Mundine never faced this scrutiny when attacking gays. Not anything close.
One is a Christian, other is a Muslim.

That says it all.
