Winning has that affect on some poeple lol

Nah look, it all comes down to how you view that time. Me im cynical and i see Ivan Cleary getting rid of Mitch because he thought he wouldnt work with his precious son Nathan.

I feel sorry for the guy, the club should have looked after him not shafted him for some over priced injury prone guy from the Dogs. Ive forgiven him for his hissy fit.

If we had the right coach he would be our number 1 half right now and no one would ever question it.

He had 12 months to sign a contract with us. Yes, it’s true Cleary took the offer off the table, but spare us the victim card. He was obviously never interested in staying. All 3 weren’t. And let’s not forget the year before when he activated the clause in his contract for 2017 only at the 11th hour. The guy milked us for all we were worth.

remember when he played the mental health card? That was what really annoyed me. Little grub acted like a baby, then threw his toys out of the cot when he didn't get his way, and played a card which, to a lot of people, is something quite debilitating to get his own way. Tigers should've kept him on the books to look after him and his wellbeing....Little grub would'nt know real mental health problems if the came up and punched him in his sour looking face

Idk how anyone can defend him. I lived through that saga for 12 months. I rode every emotion, every article, every bit of inside info. The first thing I would do every morning is check the forum to see if any news had been posted. So for people to try and now re-write history and say he was shafted is something I won’t have. If Cleary pulled the contract, too bad. Maybe he should have signed sometime in the previous 12 months if he was so desperate to stay.

Can't imagine Madge and mattress guts Woods seeing eye to eye on the training paddock but maybe that's what Woods needs to get him going again.

The club can’t go back with Woods under any circumstances. He was captain and tried to bring Moses, Tedesco with him to the Dogs.
Not only that he is slow, lacks effort and has zero impact. Sharks are now getting the real Woodsy. Good luck.

Precisely my thoughts.

From what I've heard though, Woods has no real interest in coming back.

he should've never left in the first place. he was a bit of a something and now he is a nothing.....no thanks

His value has plummeted. No longer an Origin player and has played mostly off the bench. And has been expendable to both clubs he’s played at.

You reap what you sow. Suck eggs AW, it is what it is. Amen

@Madgic Is a prop masquerading as a lock. A lock is Ron Coote, John Raper, Wayne Pearce, Bing Pringle, Graham O'Grady, Jimmy Leis.

See where you are coming from Paws - they were locks, however the position has changed totally and they are almost a third prop ideally with a little more speed.

Similarly the hooker roll has totally changed to be a dummy half - imagine Cammy in a scrum with "Killer Kearney", Noel Kelly etc. would be a bloodbath.

On the other hand, those guys playing DH now, wouldn't run out of sight on a dark night in the Blue Mountains.

@bathursttiger He might make a good bench prop option for us. Just a cheapie option though. Bare minimum contract.

everyone has different spin on those times but for me i agree, Screw Woods. Give me Moses back please

I posted at the time we would only miss Tedesco. Never rated Woods or Moses.

I got a feeling we’ll end up with Koroisau.

Can't see it. I'd like him but I just don't see us having enough cash to outbid the likes of the Warriors, Dogs and Panthers given the other areas of our squad that require attention.

Totally agree. Then that match against Souths, just before he was released, and he tanked it. I've never, prior or since, thought a Tigers player tanked a match, but Moses tanked that one big time; just refusing to tackle. The Rabbits supporters I know couldn't believe what he did for them that day, just letting players run through.

He is a selfish arrogant turd and I am pleased every time he loses, every time he gets smashed, ever time he has a whinge. Eels supporters know, Moses is a flat-track bully at best, no better than Brooks in that regard, and he will fail you when it matters most, because he's a heartless cat.

Well said .... just the mention of him and his uncle makes my anger levels rise. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I went back a few pages but can’t figure out why people are talking about Moses? Is there a rumour that he is coming back?

(gosh I feel dirty even typing that)

It's also a suggestions thread...@The_Patriot suggested Mitchell

@Nelson Panthers - he's already been there, why would he want to go back?
Doggies need a hooker so it's a chance - he'd look good in their jersey.
Warriors? Pretty sure he's settled in Syd with his gorgeous wife and new baby.

I think linking up with his old mate Madge is a HIGH possibility

Panthers because their hooking options are crap and have been for a while and they just freed up the Maloney cash. Warriors because Luke is going to be leaving, Roache is always busted and Tevaga is going well at lock and they have cash. Dogs because he'd be a massive upgrade over JMK and again they have cash...
We need to be spending money on props and backs, I just can't see us spending ~$400K on Api even though he's probably worth it.

I wish that were true of the others! Woods is the only one who hasn’t faired well since leaving. Cleary, Moses & Tedesco are all better off and Cleary and Moses dogged us far worse than Woods ever did!
