Isaac Luke

I personally dont like him, i think he is a dirty player but he would kill 2 birds with 1 stone, experienced hooker and a much needed goal kicker. Probably get 1 contract of 2 or 3 years out of him as i think he is early 30s. Liddle does worry me with his injuries, hope the kid comes good, but this could be a way to ease Liddle into firsts again. Liddle would be about 26/27 when Luke retires, so Liddles body would be at its peak and we may get 5-8 years out of him from that point.

Don’t hold your breath

Be an interesting team list Tuesday. Although if that is the plan it will still be named.
7. Brooks
6. Marshall
9. Reynolds.

I assume that this is what we will get. I have no confidence in Reynolds at 9. I think the role is too tough for him and he won't be ready for it. I hope I'm wrong. If we can get some value out of Reynolds that would be unreal.

For those interested, Billy Walters Career stats. Has kicked in the past, but only one season you could say had a close to acceptable strike rate.

Either Qld cup have short seasons, or he has missed a fair few games.

This sounds like a player swap. We have other positions of need to be taking Billy Walters. He played against the Dragons round 16. Looks a depth signing at best smart, good effort but no real spark.

This morning's Sunday Telegraph reported that an out of Sydney club would be holding a meeting next week with regards to taking Josh Reynolds off Wests Tigers hands.

The article didn’t say. It was a 2 line throw away from Buzz. Buzz is usually on the money with that though

Isaac Luke spent 4 seasons under Madge ..wonder if him leaving was mutual or acrimonious

Put it this way billy Walters defence is better than benji and brooks and I think he would win us as many games as these two have. Good value of money just needs someone to give him a go and believe in him.

Brooks has been brought up in footy with a golden spoon needs to stop.

Benji 7 waters 6

@tony-soprano Brooks is easily one of our best. It seems illogical to let him go? Adding good players to the team appears to be the way forward. Walters has played 2 games and the one game I watched he appeared solid

The thing is we have solid players. We. Don't need solid players we need dynamic, match winning type players. That's what we don't have. Experienced or not, our few remaining spots need to be saved for game breakers.

Very true gamebreakers cost money we don’t have. We need to go for players that have the potential to be great in 2 years. Timing is everything if the cap is as bad as they say we need to release players that will go downhill by 2021 no matter how good they are now.

Don't think Liddle will be hangin' around until Luke decides to retire in 3 years time.

He'll be another of the ones that escaped.

Not that I feel that we need to move Brooks on but if you were going to move him on, or move him to five eighth, you need an organising halfback with a good passing game in either scenario.

whatever Madge and Hartigan have planned, I'll back it. next year will be tough, but hopefully with a bit of signing news here and there and the odd win that shows some character, I'm happy to ride it out.
