With the repeated smoke about Crichton being on the outer at the Rorters, salary cap constraints aside, given he came into grade under Madge, you'd have to think its a distinct possibility we'd be in with a chance

Crichton would be a good signing but they need to double down on Matterson and not let him just walk off the to Eels or whoever he is looking at. We need compensation or he sits in reserve grade for two seasons.

Wont cop signing someone like Crichton and then just saying Matterson is free to leave.

Matterson needs to have his options limited by our club....send him to the titans

I wouldn't be surprised if our next two signings are Lomax and Crichton with money freed up from the loss of Matterson and Marsters. Makes sense and would add a high degree of quality the first grade side.

Agree, if we aren't getting something for letting him go, why would we? I'm sure that is the Club's approach

Surely he'll play if he has to, he's not going to play dead for two years it would kill his next contract

Even if we did sign Crichton as a replacement for Matterson, the club we release Matterson to would still need to compensate us.

Maybe the club is keeping it under wraps as the player managers will up their demands if they get wind of the fact we have some bonus cap space. Although you would imagine the NRL would leak info to the slime balls who control the game

November 1 opens the window for 2021 signings, Matulino is off contract end of 2020.

What happens from Friday onwards across the league will no doubt have implications to 2020 movements as well

@Curly_Tiger They start paying Matulino for 2020 from 1st November so you're right about it being a relevant date.
