Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I could actually see us getting Jwh, but at his age most clubs would be offering a 2 year deal. We may be stupid enough to offer him a 3-4 year deal on good money

Now Danny Levi I think would be a very good pick up, and the knights would carry some freight on that to happen.....

Serious? He's rubbish imo

so people don't want reynolds there because he's rubbish...people don't want levi there because he's rubbish.....liddle is injured and everyone wants the number 9 of our dreams to just appear?

Dunno about other people... Only me

No Ink Levi is RMC standard.

If JWH has been given permission to negotiate, it means he is under contract and would only leave if it was worthwhile for him. That would not include the wests tigers.

@avocadoontoast and that's all we will get him for i think tbh, all our signings/re-signings other than Benji and Lawrence have been 2 year deals.

I dont like the talk of JWH.

Roosters are the smartest team in the NRL. They spend their money wisely and they dont pay over for old players.

Hargraves's best years are behind him. He is being moved on by a club that doesnt lose good players they want.

Just more of the same if we end up signing him. Over paid and best years behind him.

Hardly a way to build a future.

Anyhow there is so much crap out there with the signing deadline approaching. i think ill just wait to see who we actually sign.

It depends on the contract but I can see another highly paid under performing player who we can't get rid of.

@WT2K
2SM TALKING SPORT saying JWH has been given permission to talk to other clubs WESTS TIGERS interested.

JWH could weel be the one.

Call me a hard marker....I think I'd be disappointed if he was the one ....but I'm sure that will change when we find out who it is, we are used to dissapointment

You're a very hard marker if you wouldn't be happy with JWH...

Just a bit worried Nelson that he's climbed the mountain, and he can see a retirement fund

I'd be happy to see JWH here, short term and on the cheap, or reasonable for his 'seniority'. It may be possible that he wants to play for Maguire so will accept a lower offer, if not, keep moving.

He is looking for his last big pay day. Give him 3 years he is worth it.
800k p.a

Is that for JWH and Packer otherwise, I hope that you never get anywhere near our club as Salary Cap manager.

Well we are sort of linked to 3 decent backrowers
Chrichton, Arrow and Frizell - we should do a poll?

Who would be the best fit for us?

All 3 would be fine thanks.

Get rid of Matulino, McQueen and Reynolds and it’s do-able

All 3 plus JWH, Lomax & Latrell and we’ll be laughing all the way to a Premiership - c’mon Tigers let’s make it happen! ????

I can cop him on two years. We certainly aren't going to get him in his prime but I guess the question we need to ask is a JWH who is still playing well better than investing elsewhere. He comes here for a couple of years and makes us competitive and we make the finals all of a sudden you start looking like a viable destination to other talented players. They will invariably go where the money is but if you're talking the difference of $20-30K to play at a struggling club versus a club that is a bona fide premiership threat, most players will take the paycut to get the glory.

@The_Patriot Look at Matterson (before he turned evil). To Roosters he was a bench player, sometimes. Pushing for a first grade spot, but way down in the pecking order. For us, he was our best.

Roosters may be done with JWH (as they are probably targeting Fifita), but to us JWH would be great, by far our best, and very probably the lynch pin that would attract others to our club. Whereas we would have no chance in hell at getting Fifita.

I doubt we'd get JWH, even offering a 3 year deal, even at good money, but he would be worth it. He'd be our highest profile signing ever.
