2SM TALKING SPORT saying JWH has been given permission to talk to other clubs WESTS TIGERS interested.

Makes sense. Maybe him and Madge have a decent relationship via the NZ team.

Hahahaha...Sombrero Robinson after the G/F JWH ain't going anywhere!

Rorters have to make big decisions Manu resigned Latrel to be resigned showing interest
in Cam Murray, Fifita JWH in twilight of career
let JWH go to sign up and coming super STARS no brainer welcome aboard JWH

Warea-Hargreaves AND Crichton would need to go if they’re serious about keeping Manu & Mitchell, as well as signing Fifita and Murray.

A fully fit and firing packer and jwh adds alot more mongrel thats for sure

the only way we would win a penalty count would be paying off refs

And then you'd find all the Category 1 infringements would become Cat 5 if JWH came here

Realistically, if we picked up JWH and Lomax we'd look a shed load better for next year. Ideally I'd like to replace Matto as well with another decent second rower but it all comes down to the cap I guess.

If we could somehow manage it, snaring Crichton, Lomax and JWH would do me just fine 👍 Probably asking too much to get all 3 though.

JWH is a great player but we need to sign younger less expensive players. Packer and Matulino are around the same age battle takes a toll even on hard players. He would be 34 at the end of a 3 year deal.

Moneywise any serious expenditure will come down to Matulino retirement

I could be wrong but I'd say we have less than 500 k to spend if Matulino retirement isn't given the OK and no one is taken off our hands

We can't not get a replacement for Matterson if he leaves cap wise

Scott Sorensen from the Sharks was looking a very likely talent early on .....seems he has been released by Sharks as well

Solid player from the games I've seen

Presonally Scott Sorsensen would be a great signing…aggressive, good hole runner on the edge, plays long minutes…lots of upside and would be a good buy and would not cost the earth.

@TYGA I see where you're coming from, I would still sign him if he could pass an extensive medical and came at the rite price. He is a player I have always wished played for us an aggressive bloke that puts some fear into the opposition.

@The_Patriot Look at Matterson (before he turned evil). To Roosters he was a bench player, sometimes. Pushing for a first grade spot, but way down in the pecking order. For us, he was our best.

Roosters may be done with JWH (as they are probably targeting Fifita), but to us JWH would be great, by far our best, and very probably the lynch pin that would attract others to our club. Whereas we would have no chance in hell at getting Fifita.

I doubt we'd get JWH, even offering a 3 year deal, even at good money, but he would be worth it. He'd be our highest profile signing ever.

Keep drinking that Kool Aid.

Bottom line is the the type of club we aspiring to be has cast him free. If we ever hope to be a club of that nature you dont do it by buying the players they need to get rid of to remain successful.

I dont like the talk of JWH.

Roosters are the smartest team in the NRL. They spend their money wisely and they dont pay over for old players.

Hargraves's best years are behind him. He is being moved on by a club that doesnt lose good players they want.

Just more of the same if we end up signing him. Over paid and best years behind him.

Hardly a way to build a future.

Anyhow there is so much crap out there with the signing deadline approaching. i think ill just wait to see who we actually sign.

I can cop him on two years. We certainly aren't going to get him in his prime but I guess the question we need to ask is a JWH who is still playing well better than investing elsewhere. He comes here for a couple of years and makes us competitive and we make the finals all of a sudden you start looking like a viable destination to other talented players. They will invariably go where the money is but if you're talking the difference of $20-30K to play at a struggling club versus a club that is a bona fide premiership threat, most players will take the paycut to get the glory.

he has treated this club with an arrogance since he first played us. I fail to see how he would suddenly buy into our in his mind 'lesser culture'

Have you not watched him against us. He lines us up as his team to score a try against, usually does. He just tucks it and runs hard at our line. Torments Luke Brooks etc.

Great player for the Roosters against us. Up there with the likes of Gasnier and Takarangi who save their best for us

When we were looking at potentially signing Manah, id take JWH in a heart beat. Not sure how credible all this is and I'm pessimistic, but if so, hope it's for the right $$.

JWH could weel be the one.

Call me a hard marker....I think I'd be disappointed if he was the one ....but I'm sure that will change when we find out who it is, we are used to dissapointment

You're a very hard marker if you wouldn't be happy with JWH...

Just a bit worried Nelson that he's climbed the mountain, and he can see a retirement fund

Fair enough but he's just come off a pretty massive season where he led his forward pack to a premiership. We need a pack leader given that Matulino is now broken and Packer has been a bust and there aren't many better at it than JWH. None of Twal, Aloiai, Mikaele or Clark stand out as leaders at this stage of their careers...
