The rumblings out of Storm HQ is they still need to lose $400,000 or so off their cap. That’s the salary of a star player and why the talk of Josh Addo-Carr moving to Sydney has emerged.

Thats the way the Storm operate they get players they want then shuffle there cap to fit if your considered past or coming up to your use by date bye bye

They’ve been in a stand off with Brisbane over his contract. Both clubs are trying to get the other club to pay more than the other club is prepared to pay. The Storm may be the ones to blink now.

Johnston wouldn’t be a terrible pickup on the wing. Lots of pace. Certainly not in the same class as JAC though.

I’m not sure but I love JAC too. I was filthy when he left and I’d love him back.

Get Mitchell, than direct surplus cash at the forwards. JAC would be great but the forwards need at least one class inclusion

Latrell at $1M is a bargain compared to these guys IMO.

@supercoach The team had one class addition and was struggling to compete need more than one as we now know he has left ... we need to be realistic to what is needed to compete at least 3 additions need to be made to the pack !

I agree. The metres gained and points scored by these blokes makes the forwards jobs a lot easier. Most games we were going toe to toe with the opponent but couldn't put points on the board.
Not that we couldn't do with some better forwards aswell, but LM and JAC are available now. Let's strike.

Pretty well right. Sure, we could have done with another middle player after adding Aloiai to the missing list later in the season, having lost Packer and then Mats earlier, but we still generally held our own. Our biggest problems generally were getting through the line and capitalisation of broken play, though when Garner got his head back together we were more dangerous on the former and Momirovski added a little.
