Cheers CB,I suppose Madge has a plan,it was even mentioned that ET could fill the role,but the other 2 seem to do the job better...I just think that to get a good start to the season by winning games the spine needs to be all in sync so we have a good freeflowing game and the hooker and forwards have to come out firing if the backs are to rack up the points....

Just had a chat with my brother, his neighbour is on the coaching staff at parra,we were talking about this Stefano bloke....the reason parra aren't releasing him is they are doing everything to get him to pull out of the deal with us.....even using Moses and Matterson to badmouth this club

Doubt we would release him no matter how much he wants out. We have him locked up until the end of 2023. He's got plenty of time to get used to the idea of playing for us. Unlikely any of the rumours of him wanting out are true. Sounds more like Parra fans being hopeful than anything else.

In my opinion, JR didn’t look at all comfortable playing hooker last year.

He is an effective runner from dummy half if there is a quick play-the-ball but his passing from the ground is ordinary at best. He also doesn’t seem to engage the markers nor does he bring players on to the ball. The other concern has to be his body over a full season. Will he be able to handle 50+ tackles a game? The evidence of the past two years would seem to suggest otherwise.

I think Mbye is the better option and if he plays well, he would have to be an outside chance of playing hooker for Queensland given they have manufactured Hunt into that role in the past - so there is incentive.

Reynolds will be on a bench possibly including Stefano, Mikaele and Packer I reckon. Funnily can’t find a spot for Chee Kam at this stage if Packer moves back into the side.

BJ is only 28. Hardly past his prime. AD played fullback in 3 finals last year. Do you really think they would out an average first grader at fullback for a finals series?

Apparently Souths think hel be a really good 5/8 so when Benji retires then who knows. I say try and get both and Stefano. Then apart from hooker the side looks half decent .

Apparently Souths think hel be a really good 5/8 so when Benji retires then who knows. I say try and get both and Stefano. Then apart from hooker the side looks half decent .

AD was reliable in the finals and put in plenty of effort in the 3rd week , making just as many post contact meters as Sam B.
