There is tremendous opportunity for Mbye at fullback, he has all the skills necessary to be a great fullback, except catching high balls, which is a pretty fundamental requirement.

I might be wrong but isn’t Lawrence the club captain? Mbye was 1st grade captain last year. No announcement this year as far as I’m aware.

We have two spots to fill and $800,000 ?
Let's assume we hold back $300,000 for a June 30 signing which equates to roughly $600,000 A year pro rata / Addo-carr
That still leaves $500,000 for another signing and training has already started so a potential new player is already getting paid
We have more than enough money for AD or AJ or Meaney
Holding out on AD means we pay less $?
If would be great to get both AD and the Fox
We have plenty off contract at the end of the year for more upgrades
So let's strike while the Irons hot
I mean don't wait for a fullback to come onto the market if we can get both these players 1st

Mbye should be our hooker until Liddle comes back. Simpkins can wait until end of year or after another preseason. Mbye will do alright. He did play a grand final in the position.

Fullback and gialkicker are the bigger issues. I'm still to be impressed by momivrosku though I think a permanent spot would do him wonders.

I won’t let the thoughts of a FEW dictate how I operate. If I hear the news I pass it on. I don’t think people truly grasp how many balls recruitment can have in the air at one time and how decisions change daily and at times hourly.

I enjoy your advice and understand the dynamic nature of player recruitment. Players become dissatisfied at their existing club or are aware an NRL opportunity is available at another would opens doors.
