Man that is bad because i always thought Gidley was rubbish.

I never knew the wraps Matt Gidley got either, both brothers were average first graders IMO.

And this is why I think Andrew John's is the best player of the last 25 years Newcastle was a team almost full of Nuffie's and when he played he made them look like super stars I was talking with Anthony Tupou one day and he said John's was the hardest player to play against John's would be on the defensive side and calling out what the opposition was going to do two or three plays in front and same with attacking raids and that's why when he was injured they had almost nothing

So true. it takes a real footballer to know a footballer. Regardless of personal likes or dislikes Joey is the best most complete Footballer I have seen in the last 40 years.

Agree as well - I'll add that Joey is the best most complete Footballer I have seen in the last 70 years.

People try to discredit him - Just an out and out champion, the game is a poorer place once he gave up playing, however imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

Reynolds and Benji sharing the role did really well at the back end of last season. Mbye’s games playing hooker were terrible!

I think Benji did well because of his touch footy background. He is quite used to getting DH and passing. We will have ta free to disagree regarding JRey. He only looked effective off the back of a quick play the ball where he could get out and run but in terms of bringing players on to the ball to meet the advantage line he was sadly lacking and I don’t think passes at all well left to right.

Mbye isn’t great but I feel he is better than JRey but I am hoping we get this player swap through and have a specialist in the position.
