Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It must be hard for the media to write stories now that we have signed up our players... Need to pick on other teams now..

Cronulla are also often in the media's sights for negative news. No surprise they are next in line now that we're all sorted. Some teams however never ever have a bad report written about them.

No rumor but id make a play for daniel tupou. Apparently he lives to the west of concord and drives to easts every training session. over an hour each way.. Make a play for him. Tell him hel save fuel ??

Have noticed him putting in additional training at Acacia Gardens before moving north last year, so assume he is still living there. M7 on the doorstep, so quick travel outside peak.

Geez, you're reading old post there and expect him to be outstanding under the new attacking player in the air rule.

We drop down to 19 signed players from 2021 on and as far as forwards go, these ones drop out after this season:
Likely last season: ET, Rowdy, CMQ & Huth
Maybe keep: Clark, Seyfarth

Coen Hess is signed until 2022 but he seems to be out of favour in FNQ, I reckon he might be worth sounding out, I'd even be keen on getting him this year if it were possible

Interesting one with Xerri apparently knocking back a 5 year $500k deal when he's already signed to 2021. Presumably it was a 5 year from now as I'm sure he's cheap currently for 2020 & 2021 on a deal he signed in late 2018
Say he's on $200k then that's $400k over the next two seasons he can't get elsewhere
He's backing himself I guess but sounds like a fair offer to me

Ramien will be on more than Xerri. Morris also wants out because he will be forced to the wing.

Cronulla have knocked back Josh Morris's second request to join easts for this season today, Morris is not happy, so that makes Dugan, Xerri and now Morris not happy, sounds like a good environment at the sharks

Maybe the media can crap on their "culture" for a change.

Hard to see season ticket holder Buzz crapping on them

He’s more like a seasoned croquette. Couldn’t crap on a car from the awning above...

Morris is 33, went there for way unders to win a comp AND play center...

So, they are no chance at a comp and they want to shift him to the wing. For a vet like him, a release is kind of the right thing to do.

Sharks have lost Flanagan and Gallen...their two leaders...

AND lost Shark Park for two years. They are very likely to fall apart.

Why should we care? Because that is one regular semi final team whose place we can grab. There are a few teams whose time is up, like the sharks, and we need to grab one of those spots this season.

I agree, I would like to think Souths, Parra and Penrith will fall apart too, I can only hope

That and we make the semis is a dream come true

Hopefully, yes.

Realistically, no. Parra look set for a while, Souths rebuild has been pretty good...not just Lattrell and Arrow, but they have a legit star in Cam Murray to build around. Manly, sadly, will be a force whilst ever the Turbo bros are fit.

Sharks def set to fall. Melb hopefully once Smith and Bellamy leave...Penrith look a lot weaker than they did 24 months ago...Saints pack is getting older and less mobile...

On the flip side, that young Broncos pack are going to be nearly unstoppable sooner rather than later.
