Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Can’t tell me seyfarth better than huth

He’s like 21 with a heap of potential to get better. Eisenhuth isn’t gonna get any better. Seyfarth already showed more willingness to run the ball with some speed.

We have become savage as a fan base thought i'd stumbled on the Burrow or Kennel for a sec..

A bit unfair on Eisenhuth. Sure he's not a power running forward but he's one of those guys you depend on to run for 100m and make 35 tackles a game. They can't all be Taumalolo's.

Can find the try line too we can’t afford to carry potential like seyfarth

Eisenhuth is an average player and we’ve got plenty of forwards at the club and more coming next season. Having a spot free isn’t a bad idea considering we’re already seeing young players looking to get out of their club to play first grade.

If true, it is the fairest thing to do with the player. Young wife and family, closer to home, more money perhaps and regular NRL.

I've no qualms with Eisenhuth moving on. Players like him are reasonably common, but lets not pretend he is completely useless because he doesn't break a tackle in every hit up and doesn't snap blokes in half in defence. He does a job in our side and I think he does it pretty well.

Sharkies aren't that short on young forwards themselves...perhap we can get Briton Nikora, Braden Hamlin-Uele, Jack Williams or Scott Sorenson in return..

I may be wrong but i recall eiso being in the side when we have had some of our best wins in the last couple of years. The likes of Roosters, Storm, Rabbits, etc. He does a job for us and has a decent motor for his size.

I am told there are a few pretenders and they lost their young forward with the big rep, Cruz someone or other who has gone back to NZ rugby.

Sharks forums saying Eisenhuth to them before signing deadline for this season

I say no to the Sharks. They get nothing from us.

Unless we have someone better lined up, and we need the cap spot, then all good, but otherwise they can go back to their animal peptide injecting and salary cap cheating ways and get no one from us.

You really want to play politics over a player like Eisenhuth?

It's not about playing politics, we should only release a player if we as a club want to. No more pressure from the player (like Matterson, Moses) if they want out and we want to keep them and we stand firm and they stay end of discussion. JAC-Storm style.

The Sharks have done us no favours, and are ruthless towards us (that game last season, the Gal field goal), like Penrith, and the Eels are ruthless in dealing with us. We need to do no club any favours, and in this case only release Eiso if we choose to because he's no longer in our long term or short term plans and we have something better lined up.

Hes a fringe 1st grader,we know exactly what he has to offer ,and consequently is not in our top 12 forwards this year,so probably wont get a game unless there is a huge imjury toll
Weve got more (and hopefully better)forwards coming next year, and hopefully one of them is Corey NH who wld add significantly to our team.
If Sharks see a future for him, then its win/win all round.
Dont have an axe to grind with Sharks...beating us is their job...but Eels I wld think twice about and only accomodate if we genuinely benefitted
I now support anyone who plays against the eels!

Eiso is a great defender but offers so little in attack doesn’t bust tackles doesn’t offload and doesn’t make many metres per run. He’s had some quality games for us but at this point he’s a fringe first grader, can’t be too upset about losing him especially if we sign someone in his place

Consistantly makes 100 metres, yeah right!

Would need fifty hit ups to do that.

5 metre runs then gets pushed back three.

You might want to check things Russ..

2019 Running m 1973m ave 93.5 post contact 700m (2nd for WT) Tackles ave 34.9 missed 1,1..

We have invested and invest in him and other juniors, If he was let go, he will mature at another club and then we pay overs to get him or equivalent back.

We cant afford to let potential like Seyfarth go after 2 games.

Imagine if those slimy eels released Stefano to take Eisos place

won't happen its parra

Bastards

Tigers are starting to make roster decisions that make sense. Eisenhuth, ET, Macqueen, Jennings, Clark, Marshall, McIntyre, Corey Thompson, Dylan Smith should all be released now or at the end of the year. We also have an extra 300k with the Farah penalty gone. There should be over 2m in salary cap space if not more as Cleary may have signed some of these guys on huge numbers.

At this stage we have Stefano coming from the Eels. Momo and Grant pretty much offset.

Looking forward to 2021:
Some huge money contracts come off Packer, Reynolds.

We need to retain Aloai, Blore, Cini, Mikalele, Nofa. If we can keep Grant that would be a bonus but can’t see it happening.

In 2022 we have Mbyes Double Whopper contract coming off to retain Twal.
This season and coming offseason will allow Madge to re design the team.
