If Saab gets a release why is it assumed he’s coming here? Have I missed something that’s been reported?

No, it just makes some sense:
- he wants to play first grade
- we have a roster spot
- we have little competition for a wing spot
- his request for a release coincided with Thompson going to GC

Doesn’t mean it will happen but it looks like a possibility. Not sure what other clubs have roster spots to fill.

Plus the fact that he was best mates at school with Tommy Talau, his school coach is our flegg coach and may become an assistant
In the future, he lives in Western Sydney and is tired of travelling to Wollongong for training - prefers somewhere closer to home.

That and what was said in the previous post would indicate us or the dogs the likely targets. Dogs are a rabble, we're looking fairly sharp. Would cost the same as what Thompson was on so no problem there either.

What happens to talau ? There’s no position for him then if Saab takes it ?

Well Talau isn't a specialist winger to start with.

I'd like to see Talau as a utility on the bench. Can cover for wing, centre, 5/8... so we no longer have issues like that 2nd half vs Cowboys where we had Mbye out on the wing

I agree. I posted a few weeks ago that we’d be in trouble if we lost one of our wingers mid match. Lucky we were ahead so much that it didn’t matter.

Reports from the Telegraph is that De Belin will be in court a while longer this week with a date for trial most likely being set in November. Seems like he’s not gonna be playing for a while

The poster said there were reports he has been acquitted of all charges. Unconfirmed and just what was posted.

He can't be "acquitted" of charges unless and until he's had a trial. The best result he could get at this point in time would be either a permanent stay of the proceedings (which would probably be appealed) or the withdrawal of the charges (which is not, and does not have the same effect as an acquittal).

It's not at committal, it's already been committed to the District Court and committals are pretty much just an administrative task these days rather than an assessment of the sufficiency of the evidence.
An acquittal means you can't be tried again (except in very limited circumstances). If charges are withdrawn then they can always be laid again at a later point (unless the person is in the charge of a jury at the time of the withdrawal, then it's a directed acquittal).
Charges can be withdrawn for reasons unrelated to the evidence too. If, for example, a victim in a matter like that didn't want to proceed then it would be rare for the DPP to force the matter on.
Anyway, all just in the land of the hypothetical, I don't know what's going on in this case, just that he can't have been acquitted at this point in time.

He has played pretty good the last two weeks I thought.

Hell no, not Foran. We are not the Shady Oaks Home for yesterday’s Rugby League players.
They cannot be seriously considering signing him.
We have enough “ experienced” players warming the benches, we need to build a team of youngsters that hopefully won’t be snatched from under our noses.

The forum said the same about the Morris brothers at the end of 2018 when suggested we sign both, look how that turned out

I rate the Morris twins but I would hesitate to compare the Morris twins at Roosters 2020 vs Morris twins at Tigers 2020.

Can’t see Madge carrying Foran and Reynolds on the same roster. IMO Foran would offer more than Reynolds, but I would prefer a player on the up and not one on the down. Also you not going to be in the race for under 400g, there will always be a club willing to part with big money for a no6 with a good track record

A Reynolds Foran clean swap would be ok

The NRL deregistered the contract which dogs agreed, surely 2021 return to game would be the best outcome for him don’t think nrl will allow back this year.
