They cannot be seriously considering signing him.
We have enough “ experienced” players warming the benches, we need to build a team of youngsters that hopefully won’t be snatched from under our noses.

That was a great recruitment miss for this club .....and at the time they were being shopped at a bargain discount. It’s not that they were not playing well. They always give 100% in attack, defence and attitude.

Foran on Benji type deals 1 year at a time is smart business. He is a game changer but likely to miss many games a season. It’s all relative price and term of contract. I have no issue with it albeit I think Madge is trolling the Dogs as we play them this week.

Foran on a 150k one year deal, ok. With a condition if he plays 13 games he gets another season.

Also rebecca wilson was one of the most decrepit, racist, trashy gossip spewing bogans ever. Most players in all sports hated her with a passion. Foran may well have crossed the line, don't know the circumstances and what she made up about him, but many players abused her online for making crap up about them!

I actually think if Foran can stay healthy it would be a great signing assuming it wouldn’t break the bank, if anyone has been watching the dogs games since coming back from the break you’d agree with me he’s been there best by far

Mbye was the doggies best player when we signed him too but being the best of a bad bunch makes you look better than you actually are

Can’t see Madge carrying Foran and Reynolds on the same roster. IMO Foran would offer more than Reynolds, but I would prefer a player on the up and not one on the down. Also you not going to be in the race for under 400g, there will always be a club willing to part with big money for a no6 with a good track record

If we we are looking to sign him on big bucks for multiple seasons, we have learnt nothing.

If we are signing him on a short term deal for not a lot, I don't see the problem

I have heard whispers Reynolds is in very early talks with a super league club. Could be nothing or could be him leaving at the end of the year, we will have to wait and see.

He should go to ESL he would kill it and sign a multi year contract on big money. Give the bloke time to get away from the drama. Good bloke deserves it.

Foran is better player than all the Cleary signings , however take point the amount of injuries he had put him in the Cleary signing categories . Massive massive risk signing him , he would be only worth the risk once all the duds have been let go

This is unconfirmed.

He’s been training with them so wouldn’t surprise me. NRL can’t stop him if he’s not in court.

If Saab gets a release why is it assumed he’s coming here? Have I missed something that’s been reported?

No, it just makes some sense:
- he wants to play first grade
- we have a roster spot
- we have little competition for a wing spot
- his request for a release coincided with Thompson going to GC

Doesn’t mean it will happen but it looks like a possibility. Not sure what other clubs have roster spots to fill.

Plus the fact that he was best mates at school with Tommy Talau, his school coach is our flegg coach and may become an assistant
In the future, he lives in Western Sydney and is tired of travelling to Wollongong for training - prefers somewhere closer to home.

That and what was said in the previous post would indicate us or the dogs the likely targets. Dogs are a rabble, we're looking fairly sharp. Would cost the same as what Thompson was on so no problem there either.

What happens to talau ? There’s no position for him then if Saab takes it ?

Well Talau isn't a specialist winger to start with.

I'd like to see Talau as a utility on the bench. Can cover for wing, centre, 5/8... so we no longer have issues like that 2nd half vs Cowboys where we had Mbye out on the wing
