Very few players can make it at that size. How many other fullbacks or wingers are Pap’s size and are top shelf players.

They are both bigger than Brett Hodgson and i seem to remember him being fair to average......
Its not the size of the dog in the fight! Wingers def need some height but fullbacks comparatively rarely contest highballs so its less of an issue.

Was a different game back then. We are in the era of giant players even in the back line

We have giant already, unfortunately nearly all are snails. We need genuine pace.

Definitely need pace on the wings

Let’s not forget, the greatest try scorer in the history of our game was 173cm , 78kg. He also held the world professional sprint record.

Elliot and CHN would be starters in our side,Sue as a backup like someone said is better value then Clark,and Meaney is a speedy fullback being played on the wing

I think Elliot is a ball hog, Sue is nowhere near as good as Clark and that is while he is conscious, Meany I like but too small, might as well have kept Thommo.

CHN seems ok but I am yet to be convinced.

And some are smaller and lighter then Meaney
Sometimes you just have to give them a go

If true, you’d like to think we’d be a far more attractive option for him - probs doesn’t wanna move to New Zealand being away from friends and family, they currently are one the worst teams in the comp as well and they don’t even have a confirmed coach for 2021

If JDB is found innocent from a court of law then he is innocent and free to play wherever he likes. He has served 21 months on the sidelines "guilty until proven innocent"
Not my favourite player by any stretch but if we can sign him then great

If he’s innocent then he’s literally the exact same as Reynolds. The culture we are building is hard working players who do the tough stuff and he’s one of those and more.

Only issue is that by then he would’ve been out of the game for a long while and would be in his 30’s. CHN is a lot younger, I’d take either of them

My biggest concern with putting an offer to JDB is the opportunity cost. Isn't his court case scheduled for much later in the year? So if we've offered him say for example $400k a year, that's $400k tied up in that offer that we can't offer to anyone else (like CHN or TPJ - and yes I'm dreaming on TPJ).

Even if he agrees and signs with us tomorrow, we still have to wait for the court matters to finalise, and what if he's found guilty? Then we respend that money on someone else I guess but have still potentially missed other players who have since signed elsewhere.
