Haven’t we had enough out of position players? JAC doesn’t have the passing, kicking, defence or from what I’ve seen smarts for fullback.

He is a great winger. He is no fullback and the last thing we need is to spend good money on a fullback and end up having to move them again

He just wants fullback money.....can see right through him

Is he trying to outfox us?

It's risky on his behalf. He isn't going to earn top fullback money, as he is not going to make rep teams as fullback, not ahead of Teddy, and Tom Turbo.

Sign him for a year on good winger money with a club option for future years that include significant upgrades.

If he shows he is a fullback, take up the option, if not renegotiate

Yeah, I'm not a fan of players unproven in a position saying they want to be signed as a "Fullback" for example. They need to earn that position and playing a certain position when younger doesn't count.

Sounds like Latrine has been in his ear to me.

Sounds like he wants a pay rise. In view of a couple of the overpaid prima donnas we have here, I've no issue paying a proven match winning SOO and Origin rep.

Maybe but I wouldn't be paying him FB money when he is a winger.

He would have to earn FB for mine (in cc) or we would end up with another Latrine (a centre trying to play FB).

How much would you pay him (to play wing)?

He's more than earned it. A match winner, a player whom can turn half chances into tries. He'll earn his keep by bringing the crowds into the ground.

Melbourne Storm could be offered Curtis Rona as Josh Addo-Carr replacement

The Melbourne Storm could be offered former NRL player Curtis Rona as a potential replacement for wantaway winger Josh Addo-Carr at the end of this season.

It has been well documented that Addo-Carr apparently wants out of Melbourne to return to Sydney.

While the Storm are still determined to convince Addo-Carr to stay, a number of different possibilities remain for the NSW representative in 2021.

One potential deal floated earlier in the year was a swap deal with the Wests Tigers involving Paul Momirovski.

Addo-Carr's deal with the Storm goes until the end of 2021, meaning he is free to negotiate with other clubs at the end of this season.

However, commentary persists that Addo-Carr wants to return to Sydney at the end of this season.

The 25-year-old recently changed agents and according to The Australian's Brent Read, that could be crucial in getting an early deal across the line for Addo-Carr.

Speaking on Triple M on Saturday afternoon, Read said that the Storm are determined to get a replacement for Addo-Carr if he is to leave early and new manager Mario Tartak could be the key.

"Obviously the Addo-Carr situation has heated up," Read said.

"He has a new agent, I spoke to Mario Tartak today, who is his new agent and he's got to sit down with Josh Addo-Carr and work out what he wants to do.

"But one thing is pretty clear...if Josh Addo-Carr is to leave, Melbourne wants a player in return.

"Mario Tartak manages a couple of wingers. Jason Saab and Curtis Rona.

"I don't think Jason Saab will be going to Melbourne but certainly I suspect Curtis Rona will be offered to Melbourne as potentially a make-way deal for Josh Addo-Carr to leave and go elsewhere.

"He's (Rona) over playing rugby in England at the moment but he wants to come back to the NRL he wants to come back to Australia.

"He'll get offered I suspect to the Melbourne Storm as a potential replacement for Josh Addo-Carr

28-year-old Rona last appeared in the NRL in 2016 for the Bulldogs.

He has 40 tries in 57 NRL matches, including 23 for Canterbury in the 2015 season.

Since leaving the NRL, Rona has spent the majority of time in Rugby with stints at both the Western Force and the Waratahs.

He is currently with London Irish who compete in the Premiership Rugby competition in the UK.

He has also made three appearances for the Wallabies.

Doueihi is yet to earn FB money, but I still want him in the side

I'd be happy to pay JAC top level winger money, but we cant pay another wanna be fullback money we already have Mbye and Doueihi filling that void.

What Iam saying here doesn’t mean we should have signed these players . But Nathan brown has just been signed by the warriors and already he has signed Kane Evans , Atkins and one other who I can’t think off . I just want to know what the hell are we waiting for Xmas , there’s only so many players and every other club is signing good solid 1st graders but we just pick up raw kids .

You do realise that's Nathan Brown the coach, not the player? They've signed some average players besides Hopoate, that made me stand up and take notice. The ease with which they let Green go shows just how crap the Reynolds deal we have is.

Bottom line guys. If we are to attract the Fox to our mob we will be paying full back money for what ever position he plays. Anyway why not give him a go in the 1 jumper, being a Top notch winger means he can catch, he is fast as a whippet and he is a very experienced footballer

Whatever the highest payed winger is earning, add 10-15% on top of that. That's his value and he's worth it.

Its clear to see fatrell has been in ado cars hear. They just want the money.

I'm ok with that. These guys have such a short career window, and whilst healthy should be trying to earn as much as possible.

It could all be over in a blink of an eye. Bad leg injury, concussions etc. High risk job that's paid accordingly.

I've got no idea on the actual stats, but if I were to have a wild guess on why these guys play the game I'd categories as follows;
1 - Career/Money (93%)
2 - For love of the game (6%)
3 - Thugs who want a legal means of hurting someone (1%)

Of course he would, with out a doubt, and to those saying Johnson is to old and past it, he has carried the sharks this year, 20 try assists, next best Keary on 13, plus he he kicks goals and is top 5 in leading point scorer, he is light years ahead of our halves.
It always amazes me that our supporters whinge about not being able to sign a good player, but every player tossed up is written off as too old, too injury prone, we have better, well no we don't have better, that's why we keep missing the 8
